Time to eliminate the Liberty University Football series

This institution's new Christian Hybrid of White Evangelical/ White Supremist/ Nationalist garbage is contrary to everything Wake Forest University stands for. We need to end relations with this institution today. Pro Humitate,

Yeah hadn't really thought it thru but have to say i 100% agree as well. Not a good look.
 
We are going to be playing the Paradise Jam there next week.
 
Yeah, because all of the fucked up shit that Falwell said and did prior to these last few months - and the horrible things that Liberty represents - wasn't worth our scorn and derision already.
 
But yeah as far as paying Liberty to play football or basketball I️ would prefer we play (and pay) another school.

Maybe a student will make a sign about Falwell. The Christopher Hitchens quote would be a good choice “if you gave Jerry Falwell an enema you could bury him in a matchbox”

Thank you for posting this. I have a hope that people will be shown this fallacy in their own thoughts that permeate society today. This is where I stand because at the end of the day, whether it's as vocal as this situation or hidden behind closed doors, no football games would be able to be played if the standard above is used.
 
Tolerance doesn't have to mean paying upper five to six figures to a university to play an athletic event.
 
I'm against playing them, and was very disappointed to see them on the schedule. Fuck Falwell and his deceased father.

Side note, their science department has dinosaur fossils labeled as 6,000 years old. So yeah, let's not pay them anything.
 
I wonder if we are paying them for the football series since we are going there to play.

Regardless, I would prefer that we not give that school any exposure. There are 350 other basketball teams and 130 other football teams that we can play. There's no need to support a school like this at all.

Agree 100% with mebanedeac. I've always had a problem understanding how it is logical to ostracize a group of people that are intolerant by ostracizing that group of people by being intolerant yourself? My intolerance is more justified than your intolerance is not fact but opinion. And one day a "superior" group may lay your opinion or thoughts aside and it will be hard to defend your position when you've stated it's acceptable to do that very thing.

This is bullshit. So I won't tolerate the KKK or white supremecy and that makes me a practitioner of predjudice. Fuck that nonsense.
