Official 2017 College football thread

The turnover chain is cheesy, but I love it so much

Same here. Makes me get hyped when they make a turnover. Hilarious shot of Ed Reed on the sidelines with his own chain.

The best thing about this ND deal is that they can't coast to 12-0 by feasting on Big Ten and Pac-12 teams.

Notre Dame's last two first halves in this venue -- outscored 55-0 (last visit 2012 BCSCG vs. bama)

So fuckin stupid bringing those all out blitzes and leaving all their corners with no help. Bama still needed 30 or so yards to have a shot at a fg and you don't call something to keep it in front of you?

LOL. PI on a Hail Mary?

Yeah, the all out blitz on 3rd and 15 was amateur hour.

Dude, you don't need a Hail Mary from the 35. What a joke.

Wow that PI flag took balls in the end zone on the final play of Miss St and Bama. Chance to tie on one last play here...

...and he throws it too far!! Wow, Bama lucky to escape but they were clutch when they needed to be on that final drive.

So taking a stab at this week's rankings...

1 Bama 10-0
2 OU 9-1
3 Clemson 9-1
4 Miami 9-0
5 Wisconsin 10-0
6 Auburn 8-2
7 Georgia 9-1
8 Ohio St 8-2

I think all of those teams still control their own destiny to get to the playoff. With Pac12 and ND out, it's likely going to be 4 conf champs of ACC, SEC, B1G, Big12. Only scenario I can see where a non conference champ gets in is Bama losing close to either Auburn or UGA and then TCU or Oklahoma St beating OU in the Big12 CG.

There is no way a team with a defence as bad as Oklahoma’s should be ranked above Miami and Wisconsin. I don’t think Clemson is good so I do not care where they are ranked.

Everybody but Ohio State, yes. And ND easily should still be ahead of them, better wins, better losses, stronger schedule

When do we start arguing about what 2 loss team gets into the play-offs? I'm rooting for chaos down the stretch. Wiscy getting blown out in the Big 10 championship game. The TCU/OU loser winning a rematch in the Big 12 championship game. ND getting a second loss. Washington getting a second loss. UGa losing to Auburn and then the SEC game.

????

ND getting a second loss - check
Washington getting a second loss - check
UGa losing to Auburn - check

PAC12 has no better than a 2 loss team
Big 10 has one team that is better than 2 losses, and they are getting no respect If Wiscy gets smoked in the Big 10 champ game, they won't get in.
Big 12 has one team that is better than 2 losses. If Okla gets beat in the champ game (or to WV), then they have no 1 loss teams
If Bama wins out, then no other SEC team has less than 2 losses.
ACC seems to be in the best position, unless Clemson or Miami gets upset down the stretch. If a one loss Clemson just barely beats an unbeaten Miami team in a great game, do they both get in? I wouldn't be surprised if one of those stumbles down the stretch though (UM at Pitt?)
Is an unbeaten UCF able to sneak in?

I don't have an intense dislike for ND like some do here. But I detest the "arrangement" they have with the ACC. I do not want them in any playoff as an independent, so I hope they lose whenever they're looking good for it. Preferably to an ACC team like tonight. Join as a regular effing ACC member and stop this elitist BS.
