well things went bad again this recruiting

1 Elliot Davis (17)
2 John Glendinning (6)
3 Kye Byers (30)
4 Trevor Samuels (11)

not sure what i am doing wrong, but i cannot catch a break.

well, we are 2-1 on the season to my surprise. we have to be the worst team in the tournament, especially with this staggering recruiting history:

Fr 171 179
So 74 117
Jr 115 102
Se 199 220

we ended up losing all of our modest ties (3 - 1/1 ties), but we will do our best to win this season but damn, i need some talent.

Really don't understand why my team is struggling so bad. 1-3 on the season which really hurts with my gambling on a couple maxes with winning prefs... Going to be a long season and possibly bad recruiting class.

Disastrous season for the Nightmare continues as we drop to 1-5 with maxes preferring a combination of winning + local or impact. Likely won't get any of my maxes and I've already dropped one. Almost dropped a second, but felt I needed to see how bad the other two were before deciding. We've dropped to 237th in the rankings and teams are shooting almost 60% against us! I just don't have much in the way of options to change defense up at all.

With such promise in our recruiting class, many have begun calling for a coaching change already!

OT lost to awaken to drop to 3-3. Crazy game. awaken's PF fouled out in 5 minutes. His 6-5 bPF had 25/7 including 11-11 FT and the shot to take it to OT. His SF had 28 pts including 12-13 FT. FT was the difference in the game. They shot 31 to my 15.

Ranked #158. Going to switch up my lineup for Monday. I wish we could do exhibitions to get more looks at the team.

Durham (#156) vs Myrtle Beach (#158) was a battle. As Ph said, FT's were the difference. The crazy thing was the FT distribution within my team:

SF M Glander..12-13
bPF J Hamlin..11-11
rest of team...4-7

Got frustrated with a lack of scoring and tossed my bSF into the starting lineup at SG.

He was 13-16, 1-1 from 3, 2-2 from the line, with only one turnover. 29 points.

Oops.

Picked up a big win over #20 Blacksburg to move to 4-3.

I highly recommend doing a game log to keep track of your recruits. I found out that one of my net had a sick 15/11/14 triple double, the only one in the league since Game 4.

In what will likely be an otherwise forgettable .500ish season, my team has a total rebounding margin of 11.75, more than 2 rebounds/game better than the second best team in the nation.

It's the little things I suppose.

Picked up a blowout win over a 200-level team to get to 5-3 and #74. This game has gotten so much harder with one active league. I've afraid to tweak my roster too much until we get to schedule exhibitions again.

Beat #238 St Pete in OT. In your face, St Pete! Durham is ranked #150 on a #183 SoS. Tomorrow is a big day - get to see which, if any, of the recruits on my recruiting list are not solo maxes and did I put some extra points on them.

I don't keep up with the simboards, so I just noticed a L34. What's the deal with them?

Anyone else still play there test league team? Each day = 1 week, so there is an opportunity to try out things quickly and painlessly. Recruiting is laughably easy though, nothing to learn there.

I have one possible solo max, but he's also not a great recruit. I'm desperate for a big though. My net has some promising players and only one is on the Most Recruited List.

Tough day. Lost 66-64 to Clemson. Had a chance to tie it from the FT line with :05 seconds, but missed one and needed both.

Recruiting
Andrew Lujan (32)....3/3
Austin Maiorana (37).3/3
Zaire Billings (45)..3/3 (one team not local, but recruit only F+ local)

I did get one CL, and one 1/1 in the net.Need to go fishing/get lucky for another netter.

Maxed and unranked
Benjamin Martin r24
Juan Bricker r12
Payton Mensch r7
Andrew Suber r30
Earl Roberts r18
Hunter Parker r25
Hunter Watson r6
Maximus Green r5
Trevor Thomas r7
Brendan Featherston r30
Anthony Mohamed r24
Manuel Silva r18

Not maxed, but already 30+ RPE and teams competing
Ivan Brooks r12
Justin Canty r32
Alex Marotti r6
George Bell r10
Ramiro Goldberg r29
Andrea Hatfield r13

I give up. All maxes at least 4/4 and got nothing in net and nobody I can reach from my 15/16 rep guys. Horrible reveal, worse than last year...at least had one guy!

I am clearly not a full league guy.

Got blown out by formerly 1-7 St. Pete 73-51. What on earth? Not a single player in double figures.

awaken, we crossed swords on Lujan and Billings. Was bound to happen. Sebastian Bonds is also 3/3. Happy to announce that Kristopher Schmeling is a 0/0. I picked one max I thought had a good shot at being 0/0 and hit on him. He's a solid big. Likely a bPF.

Five players in my net are up for grabs. I may chase one or two in the 20s. I added some late bloomers to my net who i think are actually elite players.

Another advantage to keeping a game log is tracking injuries. One player I'm following put up really good stats then had 2 points and 0 points in his next two. Good chance he's injured, but you wouldn't know unless you track in game to game.

So-so reveal in Stillwater. Dropped #2 Most Recruited Jesus Brown after week 1, so ended up with Connor Marshall (r17) 7/7, Thaddeus Brock (r21) 5/5, Joshua Bailey (r5) 3/3. All three came in a bit higher than hoped but I'll be sticking with them.

Net was pretty beat up overall, but managed a 0/x and a 2/x on high netters(r6 Alex Marotti and r29 Ramiro Goldberg, respectively). Otherwise have only 1 tie at 16, and 1 other where I'm w/in 10 rpe.

My team is playing well, led by the freshmen class. We sit at 7-2 and just cracked the top 40 in PR, though we haven't played much of a schedule. I imagine we'd get our asses handed to us in the NTT but it would be nice to find a way to sneak in a season ahead of schedule.

Not awful but could be a lot worse in Flagstaff (talking about recruiting, our team sucks)

Went with 4 maxes and got what I figured/deserved:

Jordan Rogers - 9/9
Joseph Brooks - 2/2
Larry Gary - 5/5
Ryan Percell - 3/4

Rogers is a stud so 9/9 is probably about right.
Was sort of hoping Brooks was a CL or 1/1, so will have to decide if he's worth it for the long haul. He's a 6'7 combo forward in mind but with a lack of athleticism and bad grades IDK if he can play SF.
Gary at 5/5 is probably about right, he's a stud. I'm slightly fighting prefs but am hoping the IMP pref wins out. Light years better than anyone else on my team
Percell at 3/3 is a really good value to me, really good PG prospect who could easily play SG if needed.

In the Net we had some other options that would help the team moving forward if I bring them in:

Mathew Wieck - 0/0 I got Mathew at a minimum of a +4 (not counting intelligence) with the attributes distributed really well for a PG. Worst case he's our starting PG next season and I won't hate it. Don't love the height but i've had success with small guards in the past.

Have a couple of other options that are 1/1 or 2/2 in the net that are intriguing so will have to make a few decisions going forward, but in this league, it's nice to already have a potential starter wrapped up.

Horrible reveal for me as well...

Andre Burchfield (11) 9/9
Nickolas Coleman (12) 8/8
Hunter Gilley (34) 2/2

Not a whole lot in the net, though I do lead on 1. Trail by 3 and 7 on two others. I'm likely dropping Burchfield and Coleman and Maxing the 1 lead and two I trail on this week in hopes of salvaging this class.

I really think with a full league, the number of recruits needs to be doubled. Impossible, and no fun to struggle so much to just field a competent team. Forget height.... I've struggled to replace my height let alone improve upon the roster...

You going to continue to max Marotti?

Can others post the unranked and maxed recruits on their top 35 list? We can help each other find scraps better than walk-ons.
