Wake NC State 7:30 PM ESPNU Night Game!

our Last TD vs Louisville. I’d take that play. If the guy isn’t open trust your Senior QB to get what he can then punt. Atleast give yourself the option to complete a pass/first down and win if they sell out vs run without giving ball back to state at midfield.

Yep, agree 100 percent.

3rd and 5.
Punting against decent breeze. With inconsistent punter
You don’t have your best Dlineman or DB on Defense
Your QB is poised enough to know if no one is open, tuck it and run.
You play to win the game. Not to hope you don’t lose.

Definitely agree.

Agreed. Except I'd throw on second down. They weren't looking for it.

Just got to hotel after the bar to celebrate. Would have loved a play action rollout on 3rd and 5. Got to trust that Wolford isn't going to turn it over, and isn't going to take a big loss.

Also, time to give Hines props. Kid has stepped up huge, and if a couple throws went to the right side he has another 60 yards. He and Wade were big. Don't remember seeing Lewis.

A lot more fun bitching about a play calling after a win though. Hopefully Clawson files that thought away for next time. Hopefully State will be pissed enough after tonight to really kick the crap out of UNC next week too.

Tabari has stepped up big time in Dortch’s absence. Got to play those guys together some next year. Losing Sergine may provide that opportunity as Clawson has said that is why we don’t run double slots since it would take Cam off the field.

I think we want UNC to win that one. As a technical matter.

We definitely want UNC to beat State. We'd tie State for #2 in the division and likely be ahead of them in the CFP rankings.

Kudos to Wolford on last TD. Beautiful touch pass, one that Finley missed a few times. State dropped a lot of balls. Finley missed atleast 3-4 open receivers.

Hines was a beast. Playmaker.

And great job D, making a play despite being put in bad spot.

Also Kemp’s hustle on forced fumble is so awesome. When you give that kind of effort, even if the play beats you, good things happen. Play of the year.

Hadn't heard that. Makes sense.

Hines since Dortch's injury - 21 rec, 315 yards, 3 TD (all vs. State)
Dortch's last 3 games - 23 rec, 370 yards, 4 TD (all vs. Louisville)

He's definitely filled in nicely for Dortch.

Yeah he got that question on the radio show a few weeks ago before Dortch got hurt. I bet we see some double slot looks next year.

From being at the game, one thing that I noticed is that we tackled very well in space. We didn't give up any big plays due to missed tackling
