Someone should tell them Nova Scotia and Siberia aren’t countries.

I rarely get into political arguments on facebook, mainly because it's a huge waste of time and no one ever changes their mind, but every once in awhile I'll get disgusted enough to say something. Today a rube in-law of a relative went on a typo-filled rant about how immigrants from shithole countries are worthless bums who do nothing but mooch off hard-working Americans like himself and are nothing but criminals, and how dare the Democrats shut down the government to protect this foreign scum. So I posted a link to a New York Times article which showed that the claims that immigrants are criminals and welfare bums are false. His response was, and I'm serious, to paraphrase: "Do you really think I'll read an article in the Never Trump Times? I never read anything from sources that just slam Trump. If you want me to discuss this seriously, post something about immigration from Fox News and we can continue talking." I'll admit that after that I just said to hell with it. I'd like to think he was trolling, but I know him too well for that to be true - like many other older folks I know he watches Fox News all the time, and believes every word he hears. My God.

Dear misinformed public DACA is an executive order put in place by our previous president NOT a law passed by Congress. Our current President is merely insisting that Congress find the solution like our previous president should have done. The president has given Congress until March to come up with a solution. This charade they call a shutdown is democrat obstruction nothing more.

LOL. Congress should find a solution like Obama should have? That’s great.

The "never Trump" msm is rather annoying, unless you're a never trumper yourself

They’ve been reporting on Trump’s shiftiness for 40 years now.

My pops is boycotting Hollywood. Went as far as to drop off my physically handicapped brother and life long Star Wars fan to see the new movie by himself refusing to go inside. What a hero.

It got me thinking that people who adore a President who isn’t a politician while despising athletes and other celebrities for sharing political views.

My southern Baptist cousin shared this today. I responded with :

Is North Korea, Iran, and Afghanistan who we really want to emulate for, well, anything?

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

I’d rather emulate Jesus than North Korea, Afghanistan, and Iran but I’m not a white evangelical.
