I am so sick of this shit I can’t stand it!

What we need is addition by subtraction... one player needs to move on that will still have eligibility. One player trusts nobody else, and tries to win every game by himself in the late goings, and has failed miserably at judging his own talent to do so.
Agree.

It's not just on the one guy and his view of himself. Manning apparently thinks all three/four of those guards are way better players than they actually are. Maybe they are way better in practice, and they seem to be better in games they are losing big at the end. Results are in that they are just not that good and someone else should have a shot. Manning must feel he has no other guys to go to, but the replacements have to be HORRIBLE not to be better than what is currently playing at the end of games. It would almost be impossible. They don't score at all and the opposition scores nearly every time down. (It really is mysterious why Crawford can't make layups at the end of games.)

He does it at the end of almost every game.

He does it a lot, and it is pretty frustrating, but my frustration is that we are close to being good, but Manning seems to make the wrong decision a lot that loses us games. I don't think last night was as much on him as some people are saying. BC was definitely on Manning. Crawfords miss, Crawford and Mitchells violation, a bunch of missed 3 pointers from our best shooters, a lot of free throws missed in general. Manning had us in a position to win the game, and they just didn't make the plays. But yes, in general I hate the 4 guard and hope that this is the last we see of it (I know it won't be).

more thoughts on Manning year 4 vs. Bz year 4:

Bz's year 4 team equates in overall efficiency to slightly worse than 2018 Georgia Tech

Pomeroy has us splitting with GT this year, winning by 5 at home and losing by 2 on the road; therefore we're ~1.5 point favorites on a neutral floor

so, according to KP's system, 2018 WF would be a roughly 2-point favorite on a neutral floor against 2014 WF

(this assumes the college basketball landscape in 2018 is equivalent to 2014; reasonable assumption)

Does it assume a Tuesday game?

All I can say is same old shit. We have had the lead in the second half of 14 of our games and won 8. Simply put they are undisciplined, poorly coached on close game situations, and subject to substitution patterns and playing time issues that are inexplicable.

I bet Chaundee Brown wishes now he would have went to Kansas. At least he would get more playing time on a team that wants to win !

Actually attended this last version of SOS. Chaundee played a good amount tonight and played well especially on defense. This is just a team without leadership either on the floor or on the sideline. 6 min to go 2 possessions to take the lead. 1 missed wide open 3 and 1 turnover. The we get out scored 11 - 3 over the next 4 minutes. No one can step up when we need it.

Watching Buzz Williams coach his ass off against the holes. He sweated through his dress shirt.

This. And he is getting the max out of his talent. Wish we had someone like him.

That is what is so frustrating. I don’t think Va. Tech, UVA, State, and certainly not BC have talent that is much if at all superior to ours, but they’ve got coaches that are getting the most out of their players. Tony Bennett could take our players and given time have them as big a pain to play as his UVA team is. They have no stars, but they’ve got a heck of a coach.

Agree. The mark of a good coach is one that makes progress each and every year that they employ their system. Tony B. is a good example of that for basketball in our conference. Hell, Clawson might be the best example of that so far in our conference for football.

DM is going in the opposite direction...

VT hired Buzz the day after we fired Bz. That was a gut punch. We weren't even considering coaches of his caliber for Wake and VT went out and got him.

He would’ve been a great hire for us.

This kind of firey disposition on the sideline would be a breath of fresh air from our next coach (if we get one). Between Manning and Redacted, we're just used to people being asleep at the switch.
