You live in California, right? Every WF fan I know thinks Manning is a horrible coach. Most of them stopped going to games early in the season and have pretty much lost their passion for the basketball program. 99% was an exaggeration, but 80% is a conservative number.

Most of my classmates from the late 90's and early 2000's don't give a damn anymore. I can think of lots who once lurked and posted, but don't anymore. Most of the folks left around here are super sunshiny or really pissed off or just like to argue.
 
Wasn’t there just a poll don’t that more people said manning should not be fired than should? Just because y’all are the most vocal does make it 99 or 80% of the fan base.

My patience is wearing thin for sure, but manning isn’t going anywhere until after next season at the soonest.
 
Of the 50 plus Wake grads or fans that I’m around 50% say end it now and the other say give him next year. Of the folks who want to give him next most of them believe we’ll still suck next year

I'd totally buy into that. I remember Crean from his first season at IU when it was a completely depleted program with like 3 walk on starters. His energy and enthusiasm had that team running through walls for him -- they didn't win much because they didn't have talent, but damn, he was coaching them up.

Most Wake fans don't think Manning sucks. Most Wake fans don't think Manning has potential. Most Wake fans don't think Manning is great.


Most Wake fans aren't even Wake basketball fans anymore.
 
Can't remember the last court storming at the Joel- was it actually NR's win over #2 Miami??

So sad....
 
Deffo down for Crean. IU may have been too big a spotlight for him, I think he'd thrive at a Wake-esque school a la Marquette

I haven’t really discussed Manning being fired with most of the people. It’s mostly just a consensus that Manning can’t coach. I agree that we should give him one more year because of the recruits. They will have to sit out a year if they transfer after next year. If DM is fired now, they can ask out of their LOI’s.

I remain amazed that people worry about recruits over getting the right coach in the job. It just seems so incredibly short-sighted to me.

Also, if we don't release from LOIs they still have to sit out a year, correct?
