BBall Recruiting Thread 2k19 - Charles Coleman de-commits to Wake. :(

"Hagans and his coaches did not immediately return messages, but one person familiar with the situation tied the de-commitment to the uncertainty over Fox’s status."

“Just unsure of the situation,” the person said.

Doesn't bode well for us, but he does seem interested in academics. So we've got that going for us, along with relatively close proximity to his home.

It is almost a 100% certainty that Danny will be here next year and more likely than not the year after. Danny’s status as our coach won’t be the reason he doesn’t come here. Plus, I haven’t heard anything about us contacting him yet so don’t even know if we’re seriously involved.

"Prior to Hagans’ commitment, Georgia Tech had been at the top of his list, as had Kentucky, Auburn and Florida State, although Tech’s candidacy was damaged by the fact that assistant coach Darryl LaBarrie was put on paid leave and then resigned after an allegation of an NCAA violation.

Now, should Georgia not be his destination, Hagans is open in his options. Williams noted that, after Monday’s news broke, he had heard from, among others, Wake Forest, Florida, Georgetown, Temple, Boston College, Providence and Ohio State."

That dude's good, but I still have my heart set on Ayo.

with felton probably gone, wouldnt surprise me to see the goats get involved with hagans.

When does the next recruiting class generally begin committing? IE, how are we doing on 2019?

I'm personally keeping an eye on Tre Mitchell, Ismael Massoud, Justin Moore, Deuce Dean, and Omar Payne (Omar Payne probably ends up elsewhere). Nickleberry is a possibility but I am expecting he ends up at NC State. Would be very shocked to see Wendell Moore come to Wake, but would not be shocked to see us make his final 4-5 and get an official.

We may indeed get another player for 2018, but it won't be Hagans. I would look for him to end up at FSU

What top recruits would pledge to join this dumpster fire program in 2019? This year was the year to build recruiting momentum. If, by a miracle, we make the dance next year it will be too late. 2019 will be shit....

Grad transfer seems likely. Not sure I want a 5 man Freshman class unless the 5th player is an EJ Montgomery caliber player.

Other than EJ, there aren't more than 5-7 ESPN Top 100 who are unsigned.

I'd be excited about a legit transfer transfer... Bringing in somebody who could help in 2019.

any word on how Sharone Wright is healing and if Jamie Lewis is still a basketball player?
