Donovan Mitchell Transferring

I can't help but laugh at you're misfortune. We may be bottom of the barrell right now, but we're covering our heads hoping you don't land on us because you're falling so fast but you're not falling very far at this point so it probably won't really hurt that much.

Although it will probably come back to haunt us as a case study of how and when to cut bait at the right time.

Late 80's NBA players, do not want...can't coach apparently (Bird, Isaiah, Price, McHale, Manning, Mullin & Ewing??)

And yes, I know that Bird & Zeke coached the NBA, and pretty much failed. Although Bird wasn't a disaster. Surprised Theus was able to parlay his job as head coach at Bayside to a college gig at Cal-Northridge. Damn California.


Wait, isn't Laimbeer a damn good lady's NBA coach?? There's your guy Wellman!!

It's almost like playing long stints in the NBA does not adequately prepare you to be a great college coach.
 
REggie Theus was a very good coach and Mugsy Bogues is a very good high school coach too.
 
Sidney Lowe was a successful NBA player who had multiple appearances in postseason tournaents at NC STATE.

At least manning is getting his players in. We can see what he will do with his recruits. Oh wait.....
 
Mitchell was playing out of position at the 4, and now we have two top recruits coming in to play his natural 3 spot. We lost a little bit of depth, but this is hardly a game changer. Some people are making a WAY bigger deal over this than it is, and are simply using it to take out even more frustration with Manning.

Best of luck to Mitchell, wherever he lands. He's got a smooth kit that should transfer well...literally.

In and of itself, Donovan leaving is not that big of a deal. However it is a big deal when added to Sam, Washington, Melo and possibly Key or Craw departing as well. At the current rate, we do not have enough players to play against each other 5 on 5. It also means we are going to have to throw the 3 frosh to the wolves right away (not counting Lewis until we know he actually exists still)
 
Got to replace the coach. Can't justify all this turnover and darn sure can't build a good team with it.
