Yeah, I just use that term all the time for general drugginess, but it is misleading. Like I will say that I am smacked out even when I am high on the marijuana. I think he was on PCP, too, good mix. Great fucking record though, damn.
 
Really digging Caroline Rose after seeing her last week at SX. She absolutely DNGF on stage and she's talented as shit. I can't believe she used to be an up-and-coming bluegrass singer/songwriter. Different tone and vibe in every performance (and, frankly, every song). All over the place.

Anyone into her or is she just about to break out?

No. The album is terrible, but I like a few songs off of it. Just not enough to listen to the album. Though I am going to givenit another shot before the concert, so I am more familiar with it.

oh, I missed this: Julian Casablancas' band The Voidz, who were responsible for honest-to-god-not-trolling the worst album I've ever heard in my life, are coming out with a new album this month

I wonder if Todd Rundgren is pissed at David Byrne releasing an album called American Utopia the same year that Rundgren is touring with his 70s outfit Utopia, or if he is cool with that because maybe some people will be confused. I also wonder if I should go to the Todd Rundgren Utopia show in Durham.
 
Nevermind, already got tickets to a Jordi Savall viola da gamba concert in Durham the same night. Crisis averted. Maybe I could go back to back, though, hmmmmmm...

A cousin of Todd Rundgren was at Wake in the early/mid-70s. Todd was always on the cutting edge of technology. Lots of people write and produce, but Todd was also an engineer and built things himself.
