I guess if your default position is Trump didn’t do anything wrong, investigating him for wrongdoing would seem like egregious abuse of power.
The Justice Department’s inspector general confirmed Wednesday that it is looking into how the department and the FBI handled requests to conduct secret surveillance, in what appears to be a review of how the Obama administration used the anti-Trump Steele dossier.
"The Left has continued to say this is Watergate and Trump's going to be impeached," Nunes said, riffing off Hannity's misgivings with Trump's opponents who believe his campaign colluded with the Russians during the 2016 campaign and that Trump may have obstructed justice — two matters being looked at by special counsel Robert Mueller.
"Now this has effectively boomeranged on them," Nunes continued. "You have at least I think half of the American people now know that the other party, the Democrats, appear like they weaponized, to some degree, the intelligence services by using the foreign intelligence surveillance apparatus in this country to go and target the opposition campaign is totally unacceptable."
Trump obviously has done wrong but colluding with Russia to fix the 2016 presidential election is most unlikely to be among them
the dems are barking up the wrong tree and the smarter - albeit more cynical - among them know it
so the question is why, the answer is most likely that they want to hamstring the Trump administration and use the investigation to unearth other things in Trump's past that can be used against him
in the process of trying to prevent Trump from becoming president and undermining his presidency once he became president the dems have subverted the FBI, the intelligence communities, the FISA courts, the departments of Justice and State and their own electoral process (just to name the few we have information on at this time)
ask yourself this: is Trump really sufficient excuse for these misdeeds?
the comfortable option for the lefties is deep denial, I'm sure they will choose it ... as long as they can

The Democrats - the same party who has consistently shown the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory time and time again in elections (including a loss to President Pussy Grabber) while failing to capitalize on their fundraising efforts across the country - were able to subvert the FBI, intelligence communities, the FISA courts, the departments of Justice and State? Sounds like quite the theory there teach!
Meanwhile, the GOP wins elections but can't do anything once in office.
no one is dodging any question, you are not making any sense, if it helps, not making any sense often happens to people trying to defend the Clintons
it repeat, it makes no sense to pay millions to compile a smear dossier on your opponent in the middle of a campaign and then keep it secret
Trump has fulfilled more campaign promises than any American politician in history
ask Steel and the Clintons
and while you are at it ask the Clintons why they paid for the dossier to begin with
good post
So your argument here is that the evil Clintons paid millions to Steele to invent a smear dossier to help them win the election, but then didn't actually release it before the election. I suppose they just couldn't find someone from the Fake News Liberal Media to go along with their plot, eh?
No you don't get it, things are going according to the diabolical Clinton plan perfectly.
They didn't release the dossier before the election because they really didn't want to win, but wanted instead to have a protracted investigation that lasted into at least the second year of a Trump administration that was enjoying a congressional majority and passing laws the Clintons disagree with and doing things like pulling out of the Paris accord and appointing conservative judges and imposing travel bans and shit.
It's all part of the master plan, man. Try to keep up
Because they didn't pay to start the dossier. A lifelong, uber-conservative Republican did.
