First Charges Filed in Mueller Investigation

There is our man, Judge Emmet G Sullivan. Wherever you see this guy you will see the excesses and unlawful tactics of Mueller and Weismann called out..

“The Office of Special Counsel complied with a federal judge’s order and as a result turned over all evidence related to former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s case, according to two sources who spoke to this reporter.

In December, Judge Emmet G. Sullivan ordered Special Counsel Robert Mueller to provide Flynn’s attorneys with any and all information that may have been withheld from the case. Sullivan took over as the presiding judge after District of Columbia Judge Rudolph Contreras was recused from the case on Dec. 7. There was no explanation as to why Contreras, who presided over Flynn’s guilty plea on Dec. 3, was recused from the case. Flynn pled guilty to one count of lying to the FBI, despite testimony provided to Congress by former FBI Director James Comey, where he stated that the agents did not believe Flynn had lied about his conversation with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016.

Sullivan ordered the government to produce any evidence in its possession that is “favorable to defendant and material either to defendant’s guilt or punishment”

and here we return to the fulcrum upon which the credibility of Mueller’s investigation hinges. The Flynn case will make or break the entire scope of the enquiry.

The main players:

Judge Rudolf Contreras — FISA judge who signed off on the search requests.
— He recused himself 5 days after Flynn indictment was handed down.

Judge Emmett G Sullivan — a revered and feared figure whose history has been in curbing and punishing prosecutorial abuse. — Sullivan was immediately named to replace Contreras.

Peter Strozk — FBI Special agent with active and even acute dislike of anything related to Donald Trump. Texts reveal not only animus but intention to act. In texts with Lisa Page and Andrew McCabe an “insurance policy” is discussed. Later texts reveal delight from both Strozk and Page as it is revealed that Strozk and Contreras are friends — and Strozk mentions his intent to meet Contreras at a cocktail party (in the context of Mike Flynn)

Andrew McCabe — an active dislike and even hatred of both Flynn and Trump. It will come out in agent testimony that McCabe did shout — in front of 16 high level Agents— “Fuck Flynn..and then we’ll Fuck Trump!”

Central to the entire episode is found in McCabe’s disdain for Flynn. This was a result of the General having backed and written a letter of support-commendation for Special Agent Robyn Gritz in her claims of bias and harassment against McCabe et al.

^^

“The implications that possible exculpatory evidence was withheld by Mueller’s office would be a significant development for Flynn
In a column appearing in National Review, former Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Andrew McCarthy speculated that the judge may have been concerned that favorable evidence was withheld in the case.

Flynn’s attorney Robert Kelner declined to comment on the developments.

Special Counsel spokesman Peter Carr also declined to comment.”

“Contreras’ recusal raised suspicion among lawmakers that have been investigating the FBI’s handling of the Russia investigation for the past year. Last week, however, Congressional investigators with the House Oversight Committee discovered a series of text messages between embattled FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour FBI attorney Lisa Page revealing that Contreras and Strzok were close friends, as previously reported. Strzok was also one of two FBI agents who had originally interviewed Flynn.

“It wasn’t a definitive answer but certainly raises significant questions,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) of the House Oversight Committee, told this reporter last week.”

Through the subpoena process, Government Oversight will obtain the trove of email and texts which will not only expose a cabal-like behavior at the top of both the FBI and the DOJ but will also expose the pervasiveness of the effort to dismantle the Presidency of Donald J Trump.

Whether or not you loathe or respect the President..the Office of the President will not stand treatment from upper echelon law enforcement behaving as a rogue apparatus more fit for a Central American dictatorship.

— Strozk — the agent who participated in the “interview” of Mike Flynn. An interview in which it has been recently revealed that the agents believed Flynn had told the truth. One of the agents “turned” after this assessment. A reasonable guess is that agent was Peter Strozk.

“The text message chain uncovered by investigators is telling. In one particular chain of messages sent on July 25, 2016, Page tells Strzok, “Rudy is on the FISC! Did you know that? Just appointed two months ago.”

Ooooooppppssss

Manafort associate had Russian intelligence ties during 2016 campaign, prosecutors say

The FBI has found that a business associate of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort had ongoing ties to Russian intelligence, including during the 2016 campaign when Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, were in touch with the associate, according to new court filings.

The documents, filed late Tuesday by prosecutors for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, also allege that Gates had said he knew the associate was a former officer with the Russian military intelligence service.

mike flynn went from "nothingburger" to the sole masturbatory material for trumpshills

you guys need to get some daylight. your trump seasonal affective disorder is breaking your brains

Mueller just drew his most direct line to date between the Trump campaign and Russia

Here's the paragraph:

Fourth, the lies and withholding of documents were material to the Special Counsel’s Office’s investigation. That Gates and Person A were directly communicating in September and October 2016 was pertinent to the investigation. Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agents assisting the Special Counsel’s Office assess that Person A has ties to Russian intelligence service and had such ties in 2016. During his first interview with the Special Counsel’s Office, van der Zwaan admitted that he knew of that connection, stating that Gates told him Person A was a former Russian Intelligence Officer with GRU.

That Person A has had ties to Russian intelligence is not terribly surprising. Kilimnik's personal history has been examined extensively by the media, including The Washington Post. He has denied being involved in Russian intelligence, but he served in the Russian military and attended a Russian military foreign language university that is seen as a breeding ground for intelligence agents.

What's particularly significant in the Mueller filing, though, are six words: “and had such ties in 2016.” Prosecutors have said previously that a longtime Manafort and Gates associate had ties to Russian intelligence, but they have never said those ties remained during the 2016 campaign. In December, they said this associate was “a longtime Russian colleague . . . who is currently based in Russia and assessed to have ties to a Russian intelligence service.” Why those six words were added in this filing when they didn't appear in a previous filing is the $64,000 question.

Truly a nothingburger from Amazon/Bezos/ Wapo

The article plainly states that he is not a military agent but it does use rampant speculation which, to the feeble lib mind, is equal to a fact. If somebody suggests something then run with it. This will be forgotten as fast as you can say “Erik Prince”

Desperation has set in for Mueller as he has long realized he has nothing but charges of money misuse years before the election and the campaign preceding it”

A lot of under-the-radar action happening today surrounding the upcoming DOJ Office of Inspector General Michael Horowitz report.

House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte called Inspector General Michael Horowitz earlier today to discuss the content of the subpoena he recently sent to the DOJ demanding investigative records related to the ongoing IG internal review and report.

The total transcripts of Strozk, McCabe and Page — :)

Simultaneous to this oversight discussion, and related to the content therein, FBI Director Christopher Wray released a public statement announcing additional FBI staff resources committed to fulfillment of Chairman Goodlatte’s request.

FBI – As the Director of the FBI, I am committed to ensuring that the Bureau is being transparent and responsive to legitimate congressional requests.

Up until today, we have dedicated 27 FBI staff to review the records that are potentially responsive to Chairman Goodlatte’s requests. The actual number of documents responsive to this request is likely in the thousands. Regardless, I agree that the current pace of production is too slow.

Accordingly, I am doubling the number of assigned FBI staff, for a total of 54, to cover two shifts per day from 8 a.m. to midnight to expedite completion of this project. (link)

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has ‘at least’ 1.2 million documents gathered as part of his fourteen month investigation into the politicization of the FBI and DOJ.

Included within the exhaustive evidence is the total transcript of text messages between FBI Agent Peter Strzok and FBI Attorney Lisa Page extending almost two years. Some of those text messages were previously released to congressional oversight committees and have structured much of the media storyline and investigative pathways for three congressional committees. However, only a small portion of those texts were actually release so far.

Here it comes the wave to wash away the stain of incessant lying from the Left

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...e-fbi-called-on-the-carpet?platform=hootsuite

Last week the House Judiciary Committee sent a subpoena to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demanding documents from the Justice Department and the FBI "regarding charging decisions in the investigation surrounding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server, potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility recommendation to fire former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe," according to a committee press release.

In a letter accompanying the subpoena, Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., told Rosenstein the committee had asked for the documents months ago and received little or nothing in response. "Given the department's ongoing delays in producing these documents, I am left with no choice but to issue [a] subpoena to compel production of these documents," Goodlatte stated.

Late Tuesday, a source who asked to be identified as a "DOJ insider" emailed an update from inside the Justice Department, making clear Sessions has grown impatient with FBI Director Christopher Wray:

Senior staff on both sides of the street have met on this and the FBI is getting called on the carpet. The Attorney General is angry with how slow the process has moved when it comes to requests from Congress to the FBI. He's told Wray that the pace is unacceptable and that if the FBI needs to double the number of people working on this, then that's what they need to do, but he is done seeing the Department criticized for the FBI's slow walking of requests from Congress like the last administration when these requests should be a top priority.
Sure enough, on Tuesday, Wray issued a press release promising to double the number of people working on the document.

Trump's lawyer raised prospects of pardons for Manafort and Flynn as Special Counsel closed in

WASHINGTON — A lawyer for President Trump broached the idea of Mr. Trump pardoning two of his former top advisers, Michael T. Flynn and Paul Manafort, with their lawyers last year, according to three people with knowledge of the discussions.

The discussions came as the special counsel was building cases against both men, and they raise questions about whether the lawyer, John Dowd, was offering pardons to influence their decisions about whether to plead guilty and cooperate in the investigation.

The talks suggest that Mr. Trump’s lawyers were concerned about what Mr. Flynn and Mr. Manafort might reveal were they to cut a deal with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, in exchange for leniency. Mr. Mueller’s team could investigate the prospect that Mr. Dowd made pardon offers to thwart the inquiry, although legal experts are divided about whether such offers might constitute obstruction of justice.
