Official 2018 NBA Offseason Thread: the preseason cometh

Fultz inadvertently head butted Embiid last night. Not good.

Big day for the 94 draft, 2 of the top 3 picks voted into the HOF today. Maybe next year Big Dog!

Also Steve Nash and Mo Cheeks got in.

Not quite there. I am still somewhat critical of Lebron's attention to detail. When he was in Miami and was actually playing for a good coach, he would not perform the sets as detailed, most notably in the game 6 vs. the Spurs that they ended up winning anyway. Two turnovers in a row, and then he took the 3 point shot at one of the worst spots on the court for him %-wise. The play was for him to take it at the key but he shot it a couple feet off that spot and bricked it. That, to me, is a microcosm of Lebron's limitations. But rest assured, if he plays for Pop next year, that will get fixed. For whatever reason, he didn't listen to Spo as closely as he should've. Dude's a super solid on the cusp of elite coach.

Congrats to Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Mo Cheeks for making the Hall of Fame.

Wilt Chamberlain still in that conversation.

Wilt
Lebron

66-67 Wilt averaged 24.1/24.2/7.8 played 45.5mpg and shot 68.3%.

Before you say, "He played against scrubs", He played 36 of 82 regular season games against Hall of Fame Centers (Russ, Thurmond, Beatty, Bellamy)

Do you award GOAT status for a season?

Philadelphia star Joel Embiid will undergo surgery to repair an orbital fracture of his left eye, be out indefinitely.

That was just one season. He had a 10 year run when he averaged about 35/24 with multiple years of over 5 APG. If they had kept blocks back then, he probably would have averaged 5+pg.

Shit!! Shouldn't have traded for Fultz! :)
