BBall Recruiting Thread 2k19 - Charles Coleman de-commits to Wake. :(

I assume you got the same name Ball State Deac PM’d me.

Thanks for the DM. A 7'2" Croatian stretch five would be a perfect fit!!

way to go. now all the other acc teams will swoop in.. the ones ranked lower than 12 anyway.

To state the obvious, being involved with half a dozen grad transfers absolutely screams of scrambling and attests to our fear that Manning has no real strategy that he is in Year 4 of implementing. From the outside looking in, it smacks of the EXACT opposite of our football coach. I mean, the direct opposite.

Just fucking emulate Villanova, dude. The blueprint is right freakin' there. Easier said than done, sure, but you are the coach of an ACC school with basketball tradition, not Tulsa.

I can see going after one possibly two grad transfers for guys who leave for the NBA, but it could be argued that Don Mitchell left because we brought in a grad transfer who was extremely limited on the offensive end and played him rather than develop Mitchell. If you spend the effort and time with a guy who could develop into a solid ACC rotation guy rather than throw out a guy you don't need to spend time with at practice in Thompson, maybe you aren't scrambling 12 months later for another Thompson who can hopefully do better than hit the underside of the backboard on layups.

I think he's hedging his bets against Doral leaving at this point.

Don't like taking grad transfers as they typically disappoint. That said, Novak Topalovic appears to have some skills. In addition to being big (7-0 230), he was factor in Idaho State's two games against legit opponents:

Arizona State - 25 minutes 13 points 8 boards
BYU - 21 minutes 16 points 3 boards

He also had a game with 25 points and 17 boards. Novak is a Serb.
