I think he's planning on taking a TV job if he doesn't get a good extension.

Depends on how hefty. I'd hope Hurney can get a reasonable extension to keep him through next season. Draft a TE and we're fine.

i thought it was settled that taking RBs in the first round is a sucker move since if you have a decent OL there are plenty of dudes that can tote the rock washing around the league/lower draft rounds. No?

I think that was real GMs getting influenced by armchair talking heads and fantasy football players for a few years, but it has come back around a bit lately. I think the current consensus is that you can certainly find capable RBs late in the draft maybe at a higher rate than other positions so take one later if you have bigger needs to fill, BUT if there is a clear-cut potential All-Pro top RB (Gurley, Elliott, Fournette and certainly Barkley) their impact on the game still makes it worth it to take them pretty high.

Eh, no doubt all of those guys are talented, but Gurley also had a top O-Line blocking for him, Elliott's production declined from 16 - 17 after losing some key members of the O-Line, and when you look at what a guy like Kamara can do with a good O-Line, I think it tilts the debate back to the O-Line being the more sturdy indicator. Not to mention a good O-Line could hopefully protect your QB as well; given that we have an MVP caliber one, I say let's protect him. Unfortunately, it's looking like with the loss of Norwell, the aging of good Khalil, and the existence of bad Khalil, we are headed in the wrong direction on that "front".

Has Courtland Sutton suddenly fallen from potentially being our first rounder to being our pick at the end of the 3rd? For all of these people that seem to be falling, there have to be some real head-scratchers rising.

Also hadn't thought about it, but Ronnie Harrison would fit our defense to a T. Only problem is, we probably need to be filling other holes with our 2nd rounder. It would be a great value pick though.

That site has some fluctuations to it to keep it a "realistic draft process". Generally when you get an A+, that player won't be there in real life, but you found a better player than your pick number would normally get that also fits a need.

Sutton is still projected 1st or 2nd most places I've seen.

Meh. Need to replace Harrison with Bates, Duke in the 3rd, and Wolford in the 7th.

Thanks buckets - I have gotten zilch done at work since you posted the link to that site. Plus, I was up past midnight messing with it.

@Jeff_McLane: The defending-champion #Eagles will kick off the 2018 NFL season by hosting the Falcons on Thur., Sept. 6 at 8:20 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.

Also, Bucs twitter leaking Panthers visit Tampa Bay December 2nd

That's actually probably better for the Falcons considering Wentz's health

Jeremy Igo just tweeted that game 1 for the Panthers gonna be a tough ticket. Who could that be?

We reportedly play the Saints twice at the end of the season including a MNF.

Pats? I assume they're due in BofA.

Sweet. Get that free Red Zone for Week 1.
