BBall Recruiting Thread 2k19 - Charles Coleman de-commits to Wake. :(

My parties don’t suck like Wake basketball does. If they did, I would complain about them. Enabler fans like you are why Wellman can get away with this crap.

Ok, Mister psuedo smart guy, what kind of fan am I? I have been for getting rid of Manning for over a year and Wellman for 5 years but am also realistic enough to know what I might constantly repeat ad nauseum on this board will have no effect on either one of them. If it makes you happy to psychoanalyze board members and try to determine what kind of fans they are, go for it. Just beware we understand it is a sign of insecurity on your part, not ours. Pontificate away...

Trying to imagine Ph throwing a happy hour for his cohorts in the sociology department.

PH has turned into DR. The transformation is complete.

Incoming "I'm happy to be like DR. I WIN AT LIFE!!"

You specifically said guard. Mich, you can look it up.

I already did.

"We haven’t had a good graduate transfer in a while and it’s been years since we’ve had a guard. Coron Williams is the last good grad transfer guard, so let’s see how Williams, Johnson, and their respective teams measure up."

Read it again.

You’re psychoanalyzing me to try determine what kind of fan I am. You even accused me of being insecure for supposedly doing what you’re actually doing.

As long as our hoops program keeps repeating failure, it’s really dumb to blame fans for repeatedly talking about those failures.

If Manning doesn't win this year and get into the tourney, he should be fired. Bitching about him announcing a preferred walk-on joining the team is the least of my worries. I think it is a cool gesture to recognize these guys who are going to give a massive amount of their blood sweat and tears to WFU with very little recognition and most likely very little playing time in return. What does it hurt to give them a little pub as they join the team? -the answer is nothing. It hurts nothing. Manning has plenty of faults to criticize but some of you guys just want to burn him for everything.

I don't think that I said that.

Huh? He said it's been a while since we've had a good transfer. That's a separate, independent statement from the bit about guards.

These kinds of exchanges are always entertaining. Reading comprehension problems are really quite prevalent. Ph is mostly pretty insufferable but appears to be right on in this case. Unless Mich doesn't consider Austin Arians a guard? Or doesn't consider him "good"?

Are you somehow missing the first sentence of the statement, "We haven't had a good graduate transfer in a while."

It appears he said all three of:

1) we haven't had a good graduate transfer in a while
2) it's been years since we've had a guard
3) Coron Williams is the last good transfer guard

So it appears everyone is simultaneously correct and wrong. Perhaps the original poster should write clearer sentences. This reads like a bad syllogism.

#1 is demonstrably incorrect. #2 depends on how we classify Arians, so up for debate. #3 also dependant on how we classify Arians. Mich based his argument, reasonably in my opinion, on the first sentence of this terrible post. PhDeac based it on whatever sentence made Manning look the worst.

WE WILL NOT STAND IDLY BY WHILE YOU BESMIRCH THE GOOD NAME OF AUSTIN ARIANS!

Holy shit we need some (good) news around here. Or I need another hobby.

last couple pages are a good reflection of our dumpster fire program

my god

Eh, it could go either way imo. They could easily be read as two independent thoughts and little contradictory but it's not like it matters. It was still good info from Strick in the comparison.
