Was mostly kidding. Nova is clearly in a WAY better place than we are (and have ever been, tbh).

I just like to throw that comment in every time another program picks up a grad transfer, because it is just part of college basketball now... Not some sort of indictment of our program.

However, Joe Cremo > Torry Johnson... Obviously every situation (& player) is different.

Villanova has four players invited to the NBA pre-draft combine. They might need grad transfers just to field a team next year! Jay Wright reaching for an ALbany grad????

Cremo was the best grad transfer guard this year, not a reach. Donte is better but Cremo fills a gap if he goes round 1 this year. BTW has anyone seen Crawford on campus and going to class, lol?

Other note, apparently that Shannon kid we offered was for 2018, a wing with a broken jumper, this program is a shit show.

That is correct.

I personally thought that my comparison of Coron and Torry was far more worthy of conversation, but who knows anymore.
 
I think Torry Johnson is a different kind of player than Coron Williams was.

Coron was basically a 3 point shooter who didn't turn the ball over (ever), but didn't have to handle it much. Didn't have a ton of assists. He attempted 176 3s and 75 2s for Wake.

Torry seems like more of a slasher who turns the ball over a lot. Attempted 87 3s and 186 2s last year.

I am hoping that Torry Johnson plays more efficiently on offense w/ a lower usage... And that he can play defense.
 
Coron was a nice player.

Austin was more important to our team than many give him credit for being. His hustle was big, not having a conscience created open spaces, he got his hands on a lot of balls and more.

I check back on this thread every once In A while just to see if the same people have grown tired of wallowing in their own misery. A strong contingent still preferring to inflict pain (cue: ‘I am not causing pain, it’s Manning’s fault) upon themselves and the rest of us.

Loved the reading comprehension segment. Was a real bundle of laughs.

Agreed, they seem to have very different games.

Coron only attempted 37 FTs during his senior year at Wake, Torry attempted 159 FTs last year. Torry also attempted half as many 3's as Coron, so you assessment that Torry is more of a slasher seems to be accurate.
 
Man, I must be pretty powerful to "inflict pain" on you by talking about sports.

They had that guy go off and deliver one of the all-time great NCAA Championships game performances then go pro. That's a solid reason for a grad transfer.
