Wake Baseball 2018

Our freshmen bats are pretty pretty good. Pitching needs to step up (hopefully the incoming recruiting class delivers) but between Muntz, Seymour, Lanzilli and Poteet we’ve got a really good foundation.
 
Deacs lead UVA 13-12 B8

if that score holds, Deacs would be #9 seed in the ACCT, in the same pod as #4 Duke and #5 Louisville

if the Deacs lose they will be #11 or #12 seed
 
It’s Pool play. Does anybody know when game times will be released? Would like to catch a few games in Durham.
 
Reported yesterday that the game was the longest (time wise) baseball game Wake has ever played, UVA too. Was a gutsy display by our guys hanging tough and finally (bottom 8th) breaking it open. Determined winning effort, congrats.

33 hits, 15 walks, and 15 pitching changes. I’m surprised the game ONLY took 4:48.
 
sounds like we have to win both games. what’s the tiebreaker if all teams go 1-1?

we won series against UL and Duke so optimistic. Read that we will go Peluse for Game1 and Griff Game2.

This is exactly why I'm not. We beat both early at home while we were playing well. Both UL and Duke will be looking to avenge those series losses -- which is a bigger factor even than home field advantage -- and will not be taking us lightly.

if all teams go 1-1, the top seed from the pool (Duke) advances

so, if WF beats UL then the Duke-WF game will decide the pool and Duke-UL is irrelevant
if UL beats WF then the Duke-UL game will decide the pool and Duke-WF is irrelevant
 
So if Wake were to advance, then Roberts would pitch in the championship?
 
we got as good of a draw as we could have hoped.
