I'm an abolitionist, so on principle, it is kind of hard to vote for someone like Harris.
You are an abolitionist like "pro-lifers" who support the death penalty are truly pro-life.

Yep. Memo to Progressives. The entire party made a dramatic shift to the left over the last 5 years or so. If your litmus test is that they were that far left 10, 20, 30 years ago, you will be disappointed.
This makes no sense boomer.
Of course, you can't make sense out of a simple statement. As a millennial, you have to be spoon-fed what you are supposed to repeat and believe rather than thinking for yourself.
You said you are for abolition but did support jailing rapists, murderers and other violent criminals. You are just like those who claim to be pro-life but only want to protect life that hasn't been born not after.

Hey RJ, as the generation that started the War on Drugs, took us into Vietnam under false pretenses, and started the Iraq War based on nothing but what you were spoon fed, politely fuck off.
You might check your history. Boomers were the ones who were sent to Vietnam. The "greatest generation" sent them
but to answer barca's question for myself, yes, I would vote for Harris or Gabbard if they were the nominee
that doesn't mean that
1) I wouldn't support alternatives in the primary
2) they shouldn't be held to account for their bad policies/beliefs/decisions over their careers
3) I wouldn't be satisfied with a genuine walk-balk, apology, or commitment to change on the issues
seems like bad politics to push back on accountability -- how else do you think we can prevent future bad policies/actions if you don't call out what has happened?

You still don’t make any sense boomer.
TITCR
Actually, it was the generation before mine that started the War on Drugs and Viet Nam. Daddy Bush started the reasons for the immoral Iraq War by creating the first Gulf War by his lies. Daddy Bush was way before a boomer.
Maybe you should have gone to a school that taught you history. You clearly don't know any.
Rather trhan "fucking off", I would prefer you actually learn something before making yourself look like an absolute moron.
yep. we're sitting here trying to talk ourselves out of someone who hasn't even announced their candidacy yet (though probably will). if she emerges as the nominee I hope anyone who doesn't want another Trump term will vote for her, whether she is the perfect candidate or not. so many Republicans were troubled by Trump but you damn well better believe they fell in line November 2016. I do hope if she runs she's asked about these issues while she was AG and I'm hoping we'll learn her stances have evolved.
Sorry, my mistake. Point still stands, possibly even worse considering if your generation is sent to a war under false pretenses, you should probably avoid doing the same later on. Irrespective of my own mistake, RJ’s contempt for millennials is a tired trope.
You can't be this dense...I'll try to break it down for you:
"Pro-lifers" oppose abortion considering it to be murder, but overwhelmingly, they support the death penalty which is killing. Thus, they aren't truly pro-life.
You say you are an "abolitionist" for prisons. However, you have stated there are criminals like murderers who should be in jail. Thus, you really aren't an abolitionist.
Even you should be able to understand this.
Not all millennials, just lazy ones like you, MHMH, MHB and others who blame everyone but themselves for everything.
Unlike you, millions of people in my generation did put ourselves, our freedom and our futures at risk to right the wrongs we saw. When you and your troops here do the same rather than just blame others, I'll more respect for you. The millennials who have, I do respect.
We can have conversations all day about what to do with people who commit [insert crime], but it doesn't make my status .
