Totally Unofficial 2018/19 Premier League Thread (NWT)

that's because you like to think of yourself as Super Fan #1 of all things American soccer

Such intellectual dishonesty. You really need to get over this nonsense. I'm about the least "MERIKA FIRST!" guy you'd ever meet.

The point is simple: football is king in Europe. That means they like it. It makes sense then that if they can get cheap product to broadcast, they would.

Ugh. Such a tired response, dv7.

What a series of events to start this Watford-Arsenal match.

Ben Foster lackadaisical and doesn’t clear, PEA blocks his clearance into the net

30 seconds later Deeney sent off very harshly for raising his arm to Lucas

Need to move into 4th and close goal differential with Suprs today.

And yet despite all that, Arsenal manages to look fairly awful for the final 80 minutes. Watford had better quality chances than we did. I just don't understand why we play so poorly away from home. Napoli is gonna walk all over us on Thursday, and three of Arsenal's last 5 EPL games are on the road. *sigh*

First clean sheet away from home in EPL play this whole season though and it was against a decent team. We gonna role.

It's only if BOTH the Champs League and Europa winners are from the same country (tho only applies to England, Spain and Germany) and both fail to qualify for the UCL through the league. Probably will never happen. Five is OK from one country but I guess they don't want six.

Otherwise no impact on the top 4 getting UCL

Aggravating that ManU no longer have Champions League or FA Cup to distract them from focusing on a Top 4 finish. However, they really haven't looked that good against anyone lately. Their next three matches against decent to very difficult competition will decide whether they even have a shot, although they should close out the season with 6 fairly easy points.

at Everton
v Man City
v Chelsea
at Huddersfield
v Cardiff City

I'm convinced a lot gets decided in the next week and a half. If city get past Spurs and United, the title race is over. Might be down to a single CL spot final 2-3 games for unknowns.

I like City's chances with a game in hand over Liverpool's, even if Liverpool get 12 points.

I'd love to see Man City rip Spurs heart out somehow tomorrow in CL then destroy them in their EPL match on Saturday.

just no quadruple or treble (with CL) for city and no PL title for Liverpool

i dont care how else it works out this season except for United top 4

Maybe Brighton can pull a surprise with whoever replaces Hughton, thinking he's probably donezo after 0 goals, 7 conceded in 3 days at home vs Bournemouth and Cardiff. Looking like they might need the points.

A title race, a top 4 race and a releg race all in one season? Saweet!

Yeah man. Though hopefully not too nervy at the bottom there
