Around here there is a wide range of people who don't deserve them.

This is a big thing here (and I'm guessing in pretty much any big city). There are constant clashes between uber/lyft/cabs (as well as delivery drivers) and cyclists, a number of which have turned physical.
 
I've got a buddy who has a handicap tag and it seems so absurd to me. He has a combat related TBI that will occasionally cause blurred vision and severe headaches, but he's otherwise perfectly healthy and fit and regularly competes in endurance races. If the law says he can have the tag then ok, but if I were him I'd feel pretty sketchy using it.
 
Because the old mods are so tired of doing their jobs that they let a lot of stuff slide. It's really not big deal to me. Everyone respects my authority becaue I've earned it, not because of the color of my font.

My wife’s current supervisor encouraged her to get short term disability coverage because it will cover maternity leave.

To me that just seems like scamming the system if you know you are going to try to get pregnant in the near future.

Spending the night 2 days in ATL, the original city in decline, for stupid work training and development. Sweet 5:30AM flight from RDU. I didn’t even know they had flights that early.

c'mon biff, we've been over this before during mod training, it's not that we're letting anything slide, it's that the boards software can only support so many colorful names and tw has hogged most of that allocation with his parodies we never see

I had a flight about that early from AVL -> ATL last Monday, definitely not my favorite flight time (but the plane was completely full).

On the bright side, AVL has a real pre-check line now, so it was good I didn't have to fumble around pulling all my electronics and shit out at that ungodly hour.
