Recommend good stuff you've seen on Netflix streaming

Not sure how I missed Gerald's Game until now. So good.

The director, Mike Flanagan, can seemingly do no wrong. I'm glad he's been getting some big time recognition recently with GG and Haunting of Hill House. He's also directing Doctor Sleep, another King adaptation, later this year.

I had only seen Hush, which was great. Pumped for Doctor Sleep.

I just started Good Omens on Prime. I really like it so far.

We watched the first two eps last night and also like is so far. We both really liked the book, so we're pretty excited for the show.

I started reading the book when I heard about the show and got 100 pages in or so and stopped only because I thought it would make a better show than book. I'm not a huge surreal comedy reader (as I mentioned with Catch 22), so I just figured I'd wait for the show. Glad to hear it's working out. I have high hopes with David Tennant in that role.

The Ali Wong movie Always Be My Maybe is pretty good.

I feel like the final cut was censored though. If you have watched Wong's stand up, she is not afraid of graphic sex talk, and in one of early trailers she is telling the fresh off the boat guy about but stuff she does with Keanu and I dont think that made the movie. It was a little more tame than I thought it would be based on her comedy. Still a pretty solid B- to B.

We finished it last night and I really liked it. It was a fun six eps and Tennant was great in that role.

Perhaps they had to cut stuff to get the PG-13 rating. They seem to be going for a wide audience. Watched it last night. It was good. Great cast. Good music. I'm not a rom-com guy at all and I really enjoyed it. Seems like it should be easier to cast good looking people and build a story around them.

I watched the first ep of Fosse/Verdon on FX the other day and it seemed promising. Rockwell and Williams were solid. I'm going to keep at it.

Glad this one is working out for Ava DuVernay better than A Wrinkle in Time.

First ep of Big Little Lies S2 was good. I think they probs still need to justify the season from a narrative standpoint, but that cast is still so good. Streep is incredible in it so far.

I can’t say that I recommend The Perfection but it is a movie I watched on Netflix streaming.

Finally catching up with Peaky Blinders and four episodes in the second season is much, much worse than the first. Does it pick up again?

Randomly saw a few tweets over the last few days pimping Fleabag on Prime. Anyone watch it?

Yeah, it's really good. Someone on twitter said that fleabag looking at the camera >>>>> jim from the office looking at the camera and i 100% agree.

Both seasons are great. Highly recommended. It's also a quick watch at something like eight, 30 minute episodes per season.

I think I'm a little behind hopping on the "Forever" train (Amazon), but am afraid to look anything up about it since I heard the less you know going in, the better. I will say, I'm 6 episodes in (of the 8 in the first season) and am really enjoying it, even though I'm not usually a big Armisen or Rudolph fan. It, too, is a quick watch at eight, 30 minute episodes.

I've finally been watching Party Down, what a great fucking show. Tons of comic talent there. Just watched the episode set at the porn awards show... the gag with Ken Marino's character there was so good
