Official 2018-19 NBA Season Thread - NBA Finals Raptors up 3-2; KD out

Looking again, it may or may not be multiteam. Yesterday reports said multiteam. Today’s report isn’t clear.

I could see something where the Lakers get AD, the Celtics get the #4 and the Pelicans get a combination of players, picks, and cap relief.

While it would be typical for the Celtics to find a way to get the #4 pick, who are they giving up?
 
Don't see how Hayward adds value for the Pels. He has one year left on his deal and is owed $32.7 million; Hayward holds an option (which he will likely exercise) for $34.1 million in 2020-21. Hayward has yet to return to the pre-injury level. Would guess that the Celtics would love for someone to take that contact off their books, and they get a #4 pick on top of that?

Tatum is the only guy that Pels would covet. Jaylen Brown's value is down, and he is a year away from free agency.
 
I’m not sure how it would work. Neither team works great as a solo partner and worse in a multiteam but both want AD. I would think the Pels would need Tatum and Kuzma and a pick or two to make it work. We will see.

James Johnson's career and most recent numbers are lower in pretty much every major category. Plus he is hurt a lot. Schroder is a chucker with a bad haircut.

Why on Earth would Boston get all of that? Hayward isn't worth shit at this point.

Several of the experts are indicating Toronto now has "too much" for the Warriors, without KD.

Instead tonight, with all the emotion around KD's surgery etc., should be Splash...Splash...Splash...on to game 7.

I fully anticipate a Canadian basketball team to completely choke game 7 away, and somebody like Quinn Cook or Iguodala will hit unexpected shots to help the Dubs 3-peat.

Prove me wrong, Toronto!

This game 6 kinda sucks, but steph curry's full court shots at the end of each quarter are awesome
 
It’s incredible that this Raptors team makes the Warriors look like they’re lucky to be in the game.

I didn't notice until Game 3 that Clutch is making guacamole in that State Farm commercial. Not sure why it's funny to me, but it is.

Raptors seem to be doing too many gimmicky things on defense. Like Siakam just played Iggy like to the side of him instead of front of him and Iggy proceeded to just march right to the Rim and pass it for a layup.
 
Play em straight up and if Klay and Steph aren't absolutely on fire, you win easily. If they catch on fire then throw the gimmicks
 
This morning Stephen A. Smith said to expect the Warriors to get every call tonight. He was right.
