Official 2018-19 NBA Season Thread - NBA Finals Raptors Win #WeTheNorth

He threw the ball around a lot but he still had 11/19/13 with 3 steals and 2 blocks.

As to not getting boards, he got NINETEEN....It's hard to get boards when the opposition sends at least three guys after every miss and you're the only guy on your team in there.

I'm tired of Draymond's crying, but he played well last night. He was no Danny Green, but who is?

My initial point was that he has been phenomenal all playoffs and there was a lot of chatter about making him available in a trade this off season - 2 or 3 months ago. Remember Steve Kerr caught on camera saying to his assistant, "I am so sick of his bullshit!"?

Fast forward 3 months and those rumors are dead.. He's a unique player. A combination of Rajon Rondo and Dennis Rodman. That said, I've seen him play much much better defense in these playoffs than he showed in the 2nd half last night.

Boogie suffered the greatest loss of next contract money as I can remember. He should have been charged for an offensive foul there in the final few minutes when he ran over Kyle Lowrey. He's just such a dumb player

The guy who is one of the best defenders of his generation and just had a triple double in an elimination game. Not overrated.

11 pts, 19 reb, 13 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk. Hell of a line. Dude embodies his team's mascot more than just about anyone in sports besides Coach K.

eta: if you are 6'8, athletic add have good court vision, a triple double or close too should be EXPECTED everygame. especially when every offense series runs through you, you are one of the only rebounders on the team, and you have 3 of the most dangerous offensive players EVER on your team

his passing skills and defense skills are great...but someone with that mouth should be kd lebron calliber...or know to shut the hell up. there are a lot of GREAT defenders his body type that cant pass the ball. but like ive said...put him on any other team (or next years gs without klay and ke) and he will merely be a glorified role player that cant shoot or take someone off the dribble when defenses are looking out for him. hes got no offensive game other than taking advantage of having 3 of the best offensive players on his team

Agree, he is a head case but I’ll take:

11 points
13 assists
19 rebounds
3 steals
2 blocks

Any day.

besides cousins who else is exptected to rebound for this team?

why not list his turnovers...which always seem to be at the worst times and miss by A LOT?

what was his fg percentage for those 11 points? probably 4 for 12 which he does a lot.

he can defend and pass for a wing...but he is only seen as great as he is because of the players he has had aroind him HIS ENTIRE NBA CAREER. Ill be here this time next year to say I told you so

He was 5-10, 1-4.

He was 5-10, 1-4.

actually pretty good for him...you think if he went to the nets or someone where he was asked to lead he would he successful? theres a reason hes not talked about ever as someone other teams are interested in. hes lucky hes been on the teams he has...otherwise hed be a role
player...

this season he avg 7/7/7...id take siacom over this munch mouth every day

Draymond sucks majorly as a person. Just sooo insufferable.

Which makes the whole thing even better.

As someone who has actually met Draymond, I can say for certain that he didn't give two shits about meeting me.

Whereas most of you people would give your left nut to be in the same room with me.

Lol what dude

7/7/7 draymond to me is equivalent to a 5'7 guard averaging 12/5/5...he talks way too much for how avg he is compared to how great he could be. if aminu had the better passing vison id take him as well. better offensive game and potential with more athleticism. higer ppg and per than draymond this season. not nearly as much run through him on offensive end of the court.

Aminu’s final 7 games of the playoffs...sort of important games.

Average
16 minutes per game
Points per game. 3.9
FG 28%
3 PT 4/14 not terrible but not great, especially since one of those he was unguarded and air balled by 4 feet.
Rebounds 4 per game, decent
Avg assists 1.5
2 total steals in 7 games
No blocks, 1 block, who cares.

Now THAT is a guy I would take over Draymond Green in a hot second. I’ll be here next year to remind you how dumb PER is. Aminu did not get run because he sucked when it mattered.

3 rings
3-time All Star
2017 defensive player of the year
And he shot 45% from the field this year, which is pretty good for him.

But take Aminu. Yeah.

Speaking of Aminu, Siakam is who I hoped Aminu would be and he did it in his third season.

was this your first time watching basketball?

Yeah. Makes perfect sense to stay with the Raptors, but if he went to the Clippers, they would then become a favorite to win it all. Wherever he goes will be expected to win and GMs have two examples of teams they could build around Kawhi.

If he could find an excuse to dump the Spurs leaving for LAC as a FA is easy. What would cement your legacy more than taking, maybe the worst franchise in NBA history to the Finals and win a championship?

If they had just beaten a full strength GS team I could see the logic of staying with Toronto to win again, but they didn't exactly close out in game 5 and 6 the way a dominant team would have done against a weakened opponent.

Meh.

Toronto if nothing else, is in the East.

And that Game 5 loss is overblown. They shoot even average % from 3 that game (in which they had some great open looks) they blow GS out
