It's funny, the things that Jesus openly hated (greed, inequality, ethnic discrimination) conservative Christians seems to have very little concern with remedying. However that one tiny thing that Jesus may have said, if you look at it in a particular context, means HOMOSEXUALITY MUST BE STOPPED.

Seems like these types of Christians (which there are a lot of them) are either massive idiots, or massive hypocrites. Or both. Hard to tell.

So you'll have to excuse me, if I don't respect the "religious freedom" ("cough, cough" God given right to discriminate against and harm others) that so many conservative Christians thing they are entitled to.

Hinkle denying a national team call up for personal (religious) reasons isn't "harming" anyone. She handled it as well as she possibly could assuming she puts her faith before her career. I do agree with your point about the large majority being hypocrites though, she is in the small minority there.

Yeah that post/rant, was more a response to Mebane, my family members, and all "devout" Christians that would much rather discriminate against homosexuals than provide the poor with improved economic opportunities. Hard to take those people seriously, as there is zero chance that Christ would have anything to do with them if he returned to Earth today.

Not that the truth matters to you, but our church loves homosexuals. We believe that God forbids their life-style, but we are all offensive to God by nature. That is why Christ came namely to rescue us out of our sins. It is not hate to call people away from their sin whether it is homosexual or heterosexual or self-righteoousness.

It is ironic that people who claim to be so open-minded and tolerant are in fact so intolerant of anyone who does not agree with them. You have your preconceived categories and caricatures all ready for the person who adheres to values and standards of morality that differ from yours. You are blatantly intolerant while boasting of tolerance. No doubt you will have a clever and cutting come-back. It is too much to ask but it would be good if you would acknowledge that this whole debate is not about denying homosexuals anything. It is about denying an outspoken Christian her place on the US woman's team because of her expressed convictions. That is religious intolerance and a denial of her right to freedom of speech. Spin it however you wish, that is really what is at stake here.

The transliteration of the Greek word is malakoi which means effeminate and is used of the passive member of a same sex relationship.

The 14:37 passage is Paul's testimony that he was self-consciously writing the commandments or the will of the Lord Christ. Which in retrospect means that 6:9 was in fact the word and will of Christ.

Can we just back up a minute. If the word homosexuality came from a rough translation of a Hebrew word translated to a Greek word and again translated to an English word meaning effeminate, does that mean that lesbians are cool in the eyes of the Lord? cause that's HAWT.

Mebane, simple question. Do you vote for political candidates that are going to provide large scale governmental assistance (not minuscule individual charity) to the poor and disadvantaged, or not?

Because if the answer is no, then you are not following the teachings of Christ. And if there is a final judgement, it is not going to go well for you.
