I want ND to win, OSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Clemson to all go undefeated, and ND gets left out of the playoffs. They'd almost have to join a conference at that point (the ACC).

Even under that scenario they're arguably better off as an independent as they wouldn't have to play Clemson in the ACCCG and they just roll the dice with getting into the playoff. ND with a win over UGA might look better at the end of the season than OU or tOSU.
