That was really dumb. The odds of making 4th and 3 were much higher and it’s going to be relatively easy for UGA to win.

A good example of why this is Will Muschamp’s last season of coaching in the SEC. Terrible decision all the way around.
 
Even if they made a FG, there was plenty of time for UGA to score with three timeouts left.
 
Running a play with 8 sec left instead of kicking the long FG is pretty dumb too. This ain’t the NFL. I don’t care how good Fromm is.

That’s probably somewhat close. Even stupider was calling a timeout when they had 3 with 1:30 to go at the 50 yard line. Should have ran it down to 50 seconds or so. Mind blowing why each football team just doesn’t hire a math nerd for $50k and put them on staff

Always save timeouts to set up the FG.

Good choice to go for it here.

You don’t plan to take a penalty to set up a longer FG than your kicker missed a few minutes ago.
