NC State Game Time - Noon ESPN

He's pretty much sucked at State if it makes you feel any better. Not sure if that's due to QB problems or what but you guys haven't missed much.

Yeah. As we've discussed the irony was that he left Wake so he wouldn't be a backup to Dortch, but he had his best season as a backup to Dortch. Hines had 22 rec for 306 yards in 3 games against State. He only has 192 yards in 7 games for State. Of course, it's very possible he lights us up on Saturday.

Big week for the Pack. Bengals just announced Ryan Finley is starting over Andy Dalton. So a former Wake QB just elevated a former State QB.

Cmon Zac, don’t do us like that! I don’t care if you’re desperately searching for your first win, don’t give the Pack any reason for program enthusiasm! Not that Ryan Finley is going to do much of anything against the Ravens in a couple of weeks.

With Strnad and Masterson out for the season there is a significant difference at Buck and Rover. I hope Williams/Jones and Redd/Dicks are up to the challenge. Who will assume Strnad's responsibility to call defensive signals and alignment?

Bothroyd out? Where did that come from? Think you’re mistaken.

Redd/Dicks or, Redddick?

Looks like Clawson called out Jones as someone who will be expected to step up. Who knows, maybe he will be awesome.

Had the pleasure of sitting next to jones' parents at the Spring game. Super nice folks. I think he will be a real stud over time. Pulling for him.

I wonder if Clawson will use the redshirt rule to get some snaps out of some guys he's planning on redshirting, like Jaylen Hudson?

Tau - thanks for you honest take on Tabari. Always (at least usually) enjoy your participation here.
You going to the game Saturday? I’m guessing we’ll be seeing a lot more red in the stands than we would like.

Based on the season they are having, I’m guessing we’ll see less red than we have in the past when we’ve played State.

our last 2 wins over State were so satisfying, though nailbiters. would love a good old fashioned beatdown.

I feel like this game will be more like Louisville (maybe 42-39) than a blowout win.

Too many variables, including Doeren on the hot seat if he loses to "Weak Forest."

State fans, not Tau, but most, absolutely expect to beat Wake every single game.

I agree they are putting together a wild game plan with fake junk, and trickeration to do anything possible to win this game and resurrect their crap season.

Also, look for Doeren and Co. to pull a Satterfield and be right in the REFEREE's face from the opening kickoff screaming, whining and complaining with no filters --- Clawson needs to establish prior to kickoff that is not acceptable.

I think there will still be plenty of red and I fully expect a really tough game. I'll be happy with any outcome that results in us winning, winning by any margin considered "comfortable" will be gravy. Us beating them the last 2 years when they were ranked provides them with extra motivation, plus their terrible performance against BC makes this a circle the wagon game for them and they've had 2 weeks. One positive from the Louisville loss is I think our guys will be extremely motivated to get a win after a bye week which hasn't happened under Clawson and has become a sore spot for them.

1000 tix shy of sellout at moment so suspect there may be a little more red or as much red as in the past. Hoping these buyers are all friendlies however.

Lind of a weird last paragraph. I dont think clawson cares what goes on on the other sideline. He has been a yeller himself since game 1. He has calmed down a little bit, but some of that is success and pace. No time!

with five games left, plus a bowl game, and the injuries piling up, it's starting to get into tough decision territory on some redshirts

presumably -- I don't actually know any would-be contributors are being redshirted
