Stating that Bob Staak was not a quality coach, does not equate to Jeff [Redacted] and Danny Manning being quality ones. That being said, Jeff [Redacted] did have at least one season over .500 and Danny Manning did take a team to the NCAAT.

What is it you do again?

The ACCT paper adds were even better. How bad of an AD do you have to be to piss off the most tame fan base in P5 to the point they’re taking out paper adds and billboards.

Also that was money well spent.

LOL. You stated that we would be harder on Staak than we've been on [Redacted] and Manning. If you're saying quality is inverse related to negative fan reaction, you must either believe [Redacted] and Manning were higher quality coaches or fans are less negative now than in the 80s. Given you said, "Jeff [name redacted] did have at least one season over .500 and Danny Manning did take a team to the NCAAT" it is the former.

Saying someone is less bad than another, does not equate to that other being high quality. Yes, I do believe Bob Staak was just as bad, if not worse, than any other coach we’ve ever had.

Danny Manning is in a league of his own as far as being a poor coach.

No but Staaks teams were competently coached. He wasn't left a lot of talent by Tacy and that was when the overall quality of play in the ACC was very competitive. He was able to beat Carolina and Duke one year with a team starting Cal Boyd as point guard. The fact that Manning is still searching for a conference upset like that confirms what you see when you watch our poorly coach team. That Manning is a terrible tactician and game coach. Like the worst I've ever seen watching ACC basketball for 43 years.
