yeah, I lean toward Tom myself, but also feel sorry for him because he isn't that smart

Logan is willing to fuck over his own family/children/wife. That puts him over Tom in my book.
 
Guess I should get back into Succession, I think I just watched a few eps first season.

I'm a couple eps into Watchmen though, without any prior knowledge, but still kind of digging it.

I’m not sure how much it changed vs accelerated. Security theater, jingoism, and nativism were already common.
 
Idk about that. Sure Bush had already been elected (narrowly), but I’m not sure you get Congress signing a PATRIOT Act or authorization of war without 9/11.

We watched an SVU recently that I think was from 2000 and there was an Afghan family and no one on the show knew anything about the place

This is one of those things that brings it to my memory again and again. I'll see a music video, a TV show, or movie and it will strike me as so pre-9/11 that I'm just like, "fuck, when is it going to be like that again?"
