I'll never understand why they didn't throw his ass out at the first sign of anything and then crow about how principled they were. pence and mother would have gotten them their judges and they may have kept the house.

Yea, and I mean it just thoroughly further proves principled republicans don’t actually exist, the party is just mainly old angry white people. That’s it, that describes the party. Whatever principled Republicans there are either left the party or secretly endure the state of the party while being too chicken shit to do anything about it (cowards).

Isn't lying when using Jesus' name supposedly blasphemy?

Trump was invited to testify and/or have his lawyers at the hearing. I bet most of the Dems would have had heart attacks had Trump shown up. Those who didn't would have trampled each other to ask him questions.

Because people don’t love Pence like they love Trump. Pence couldn’t win the nomination in 2016. No one else could. Republican voters absolutely adore Donald Trump. That’s the lesson of 2016.

So is today just a chance for people who weren’t on the two committees to get their chance to say the same thing that was said in the committees?

Why are the Republicans holding onto their time?
 
Of course the voters love him. I was referring to the Senate. He's been a pain in their ass the entire time. Clearly they use him when they can but he cost them the house. They jumped on board and are stuck at this point but none of them wanted him originally. I guess on some level I naively keep hoping the principals will find their conscious for the good of the country. But definitely not holding my breath.

holding your breath for what? republicans love him. if the republican senators go against him then they will get primaried by someone he likes.
 
Alexander doesn't have to worry about being primaried, nor does Romney.

would be interesting to measure the average IQs in districts like Collins', Gohmert's, Gym's, etc.
 
I'll also go out on a limb and say those same districts accept the most federal funds vs how little they pay in taxes.

Think they are saying that the whistleblower should officially be revealed so that Trump can insult them on Twitter.
 
We haven't been able to call witnesses! We don't have any first hand knowledge! We're certain Trump did nothing wrong!
