Probably going to be set up like The Dating Game and all 3 teams will have a simultaneous interview.

Except that on the Dating Game, you actually have to choose 1 person of the 3 to go on a date. None is not 1 of the options.

What are thoughts about Eric Bieniemy as a possible head coach? I loved him as a player. Only two years as an OC and Reid and Mahomes get most of the credit for making that offense work. Long time RB coach so he may be able to get better use out of CMC. I don’t really know what the league buzz is around him but he seems like a popular interview this cycle.

He’s my top choice of the four main names. Played in the league, players like/respect him, successful/fairly young. What’s not to like?

The vast majority as a RB coach. Who the hell is hiring a RB coach to be a HC?

but he's not a RB coach now - he's an offensive coordinator of the best offense in the league for the past two seasons

just ridiculous to claim that Eric is a Rooney Rule diversity interview when he's more qualified than most of the other hot names in the HC search this year (Rhule, Kris Richard, Saleh, Stefanski) and guys that were actually hired last season (Zac Taylor - was a QB coach when hired, Brian Flores - was a LB coach when hired, Matt LaFleur - basically the same level of experience, Kliff Kingsbury)

I really don’t get why teams waste their time with McDaniels after what he did with Indy. Rhule failed the looks test last night and was already under qualified. McCarthy is going to be a worse version of Ron.

OK Bienemy it is then. Lincoln Riley just not going to the NFL this year?

What percentage of the Chiefs' offensive success over the past two seasons would you attribute to Bienemy as opposed to Reid, Mahomes, Hill, etc.?

And somewhat related, what percentage of KHunt's behavior is attributable to having Bienemy as his RB coach/mentor? After letting KHunt and Tyreke Hill operate unchecked for the past few years I would be wary of anyone from that staff (including Reid) from a culture standpoint.

Mccarthy won a superbowl and went to the playoffs for 8 straight seasons. Sign me up for that.

From an organizational point of view, sure. But from an Xs and Os perspective, there's a reason why he wasn't hired by another team last year and why he's not sure to get hired this year. Every talking head on the sports channels that used to play football for years has said his offenses are too vanilla. And the Packers lack of success his last couple of years, along with them getting a bye this year under a new coach, has led to further doubts that he gets hired this cycle. And someone on 1 of the a.m. shows in the last week has said McCarthy has put out the word that he's open to hiring an OC to install that OC's system while he is just the HC.

Well sure who wouldn't want that? I heard an interview with Mike Florio yesterday and he made the point that the question seems to be did McCarthy have much to do with that or is it a result of having Favre followed by Aaron Rogers?

There's also the bleacher report story that came out talking about McCarthy missing meetings to get massages and other issues in Green Bay.

i mean i could have done the same with a prime of his career Aaron Rodgers

Ron Rivera looks great on paper but then you could argue his stint in Carolina was disappointing considering the talent he had on the roster

It will be interesting whether Tepper makes a "Steeler" hire - young coach, good leader, given a long leash. I don't see him hiring a re-tread if he does this the Steeler way. Bienemy fits the mold I guess, but like others, I have trouble with him only having two year OC experience and this year masked by a generational talent. I can say that KC's offense has gone from RB friendly to basically an AFC version of Green Bay. Yes, bitter Damien Williams fantasy owner here. Back to Bienemy, I guess it would come down to his interview. I'd think Tepper is looking for leadership and motivation characteristics, and a general agreement on how to construct a team (owner, GM, coach need to be on same page here) in the age of salary cap.

I don't worry too much about schemes and X's and O's because I remember Don Shula of the 70's and 80's. With Czonka, Morris, Kiick and a HOF OL, he ran the ball. With Dan Marino and great WR corps, he threw the ball. Remember what Houston Oiler coach Bum Phillips said about Bear Bryant, "he can take his'n and beat your'n; and he can take your'n and beat his'n." That is what a good coach looks like.

Chuck Noll was 37 in his first season for the Steelers. Cowher and Tomlin were 35. That's the Steeler Way.

I think Kevin Stefanski is my favorite - super high potential

I wonder if Shurmur would join his staff as OC in a flip of the mentor/mentee roles

Acting like mccarthy isn't responsible at all for how good Rodgers became is laughable.

Kevin Stefanski - HC

Pat Shurmur - OC
Leslie Frazier - DC

Let's go

Stefanski has one season as an full-time OC if that's a concern for some folks.
