At this point, why wouldn't Trump & Company do just that? It's clear that the Senate isn't going to do anything to stop him, so he's basically free to do whatever he wants. The Presidency unleashed, so to speak.
 
Republican senators, sans Romney, totally own whatever shit Trump and his people do henceforth.

How many asses are going to be bitten? Collins is in a tough race, and that could affect her, but she was already voting too often with Trump for ME's liking, so I don't think this 1 vote affects her re-election chances much either way. Gardner was already probably going to lose.

And while it was nice to see Romney vote to convict, it wasn't that courageous a vote considering Trump is was less popular with Mormons than he is with evangelicals, so he'll still get re-elected with ease.
 
im just glad i visited most of the premier national parks before republicans plaster them with franchises and billboards and raise the entry fee to $300/ person
