They’ll just give it to their church who will pocket it to keep the lights on while services are cancelled.
Yeah. The easiest thing would be to give the money now and tax it back from high earners in 2021.
Means testing now doesn’t even make sense. Just because someone made $100K in 2019 doesn’t mean they’ll be making $100K in 2020 throughout the crisis. It’s highly likely people who would be excluded actually really need it.
there is absolutely no need to means test emergency aid what is wrong with people
You sound like a Republican. You want the rich to get paid and take money from the poor. How very trickle down of you!
How many calls did you make to create support for Trump's tax cut for the rich?
How much are you donating to Moscow Mitch and Lyndsey Graham?

No that's not it rj. Though I'm glad the bounds of your imagination extend to a family of four making $250k getting $1000 [and giving it back in a year] as the nightmare of all nightmares. Again, galaxy Democrat brain. Your understanding of class in America is remarkable.
Emergency aid is exactly that. A family making $250,000+/year doesn't need $1000,$2000 or $3000. Use the money that they would have gotten to help the poor and nearly poor more.
Yes, means testing is critical.
If the money is sent out properly it will save tons of jobs, the Top 5-8% can keep going. The more we can get to those who truly need it. The more jobs and homes we save.
Or we can listen to Townie's trickle down theories.
This is a stupid ass response that completely overlooks that the logistics of means testing will cause the entire process of getting checks to people that actually need them to be delayed.
