It’s not a vibe. I explain why I think people are mafia. Sometimes I explain why people are civs, sometimes not. There were like 6-8 generic tells I had identified and some player specific ones over years. I explained some and kept others because there was a long term benefit over multiple games and I developed a relatively good track record when I was a civ (not necessarily of finding mafia but of people I said I was confident were civs actually being civs). No clue whether I’m any good at it anymore or if people have changed the last few years.
 
yea the cult of personality around eagles must make it actually hard to play as eagles so i do respect that

That vote had nothing to do with reading the thread and simply not liking a 3 way tie with 3 votes each 30 min from the deadline. You want me up with numbers or Jman this round, im good with it.

I wasnt in that game but putting a run on a maf special is one hell of a way to create separation.

mafia absolutely won in spite of me. I said as much after the game. The idea that I like people following me around in this game though is wildly wildly off base. People can do whatever they want. Everything I did that game was to try to keep heat away from Juice (and the 2 people I civ leaned early - redwing and sd3).

I identify win conditions as mafia early. Toog was not a win condition. I was not a win condition. Ensuring people who seemed like civs made it to the end was a win condition. Since people give credit to my civ leans as I posted before I saw your post, I thought by civ leaning the 3 would buy them time. I didn’t actually want Toog to die the round he did but I thought it had the derivative benefit of giving me credence as a civ which has nothing to do whatsoever with me trying to stay alive and everything to do with providing cover for the 3 mafia players who were actually playing well.

You may disagree but you don’t know me very well. It had absolutely nothing to do with ego and everything to do with strategy. Whether I was effective with it is a different question.
 
Lean civ on ryala for his post about Ph and killing soft claimers.

Ph did soft claim and people just kind of blew it off.

I think this is a good response - coupled with your other posts helps you in my eyes. But I still find it weird you'd break a 3 way tie without reading.

Also, when I placed a vote on you out of the gate today, you only responded to Jman when he followed me up with another on you. I think this looks good though.. and with you and Jman going back and forth in thread, if Jman = mafia, it likely means you're not mafia. Don't see Maf Jman putting another vote on a teammate without any real justification for it to start today. When Jman is mafia, he's reluctant to target teammates unless he absolutely has to IMO.
