My role PM didn't state what I was - so I justly assumed I had some power I didnt know about, and just submitted random crap to Bym every night. Apparently I was vanilla.
 
Im going to say this now instead of as an entry post because people will lose their minds but: i am literally never mafia. i truly cannot remember the last time i was mafia. Even before the long break i was basically never mafia.

The opposite of this, did Damo set the record for like, 11 straight games? I remember that guy catching the day 1 lynch for something like 4 games because he was mafia every time. It got so bad that it went in reverse, "nah, he can't possibly be mafia again." It was after he straight fucking raped as Cop in two games.

while I appreciate the sentiment, I was awful this game. And, on the absent thing, if I get busy and get more than like 5 pages behind the thread I find it impossible to catch up. I strugglebus to stay engaged and ask all the stupid questions that have been answered already (like this game).
 
i thought the civs played well...i couldn't come up with reasons for other people to be mafia really. i decided numbers had a better chance of dying than tejas but it was a long long stretch for either of them.

my only other option was to claim i protected qt the night we killed her, but then i had to survive that lynch (presumably tejas?) and then after that kill numbers. it seemed like such a stretch to try to pull off two more mislynches. i just didn't see it happening. i knew anything i said about why i didn't jail was going to sound like crap. i couldn't claim strongman because parlay's role had it. roleblock was the only plausible explanation but it was going to sound bad. the only thing i could do was lean completely into the DO YOU THINK I'D DO THIS AS MAFIA strategy. i didn't have another play.

roleblocked nonny b/c he's a good player when he plays but probably wouldn't have a watcher n1; roleblocked da because we did think the tone was weird n3; by n5 we were going to be screwed with the cop so decided just to try to make da look bad by roleblocking him again.

of course toog fucked us right off the bat by protecting ryala. and knight read a little different than normal and was the only person really even hinting at me being mafia so it was a bonus target. it was as simple as just getting him out of the way at the beginning and hoping he was a special to boot.

i thought i was going to die by clearing parlay & romanov and being wrong. GAt made a comment about bussing teammates but i didn't do that this game. i only mentioned mako when it seemed like he was dying. townie died n1 and then i tried to civ lean romanov and parlay to get them to stick around. i only flopped on romanov when it was obvious he was going to die that round with the djt claim.

I run into the same issue if I miss part of the game and am mafia. If I'm there I have a chance, if I have to catch up I'm usually fucked
 
i thought it was balanced. everyone had a good effort. QT, GAt etc played so clearly that i couldn't even sell they were the godfather.

I know it’s hindsight, but I was so paranoid the last few days when the numbers proved someone was lying I might have bought the gf pin on qt or gat. Obviously that is a harder thing to keep pressing as the game goes on, but I would have totally considered voting there

i was shocked you weren't the cop. you didn't mention tejas or qt one single time in any of your posts and just flat went "civ" next to each of them. i thought gooner played well but i had absolutely no thought that he was the cop at any point.

i thought da might be the cop early by being defensive, but then he did the post when mako revealed when he told me he thought he knew what mako was doing but was wrong and it was clear da wasn't the cop at that point.

i think the night we killed you romanov thought qt was the cop and i thought it was you. both wrong. i wasn't around for the sd3/d14 hits. i wasn't in favor of either of them but i forget who i wanted to kill instead the one night (da maybe). i think it came out in the wash because i never had gooner pegged as a civ special.

hardest part in playing as mafia is when you don't have time because of work to be reading. i missed like 18 pages in a row at one point with my work and had to be in mafia chat like uh what happened the last 90 mins, thanks.

This was more about your votes than any commentary. I was busy with work for a lot of the middle rounds so missed a lot of the back and forth. I saw you were the last vote on Rommy when he died along with the mako vote and called that bussing.

When Tejas and then i went back and looked at the rommy votes and i saw that you threw your vote on that late it was definitely a contributing part of why i thought you were maf.
 
also no one seemed to be going back through the thread so i tried to run with the toog thing as long as i could and hoped no one would notice what GAt did eventually. for the record toog never said i was mafia but he equivocated more than the eagles is civ initial post he made. i was just trying to ride out that line of thought as long as i could without people realizing that he hedged after.

he was saying i should have said i tried to jail tejas but my jailing got moved to another player by mafia. but then i said that doesn't work because whatever player it got moved to would get the notification. so then the determination was it would have to be said it got moved back to me which i thought sounded even more bogus than coming up with a rb claim n9. if i was going with the normal hit i don't know how i could justify it without saying i was rb'd. maybe blocking another hit was the right play but i didn't have two more rounds in me and lynching BOTH tejas & numbers wasn't going to happen. i didn't think killing numbers was going to happen either but i had a better chance.
