Yep. Once the SEC said they wouldn't hold any conference tournaments or championships in the state if the flag wasn't removed, it was amazing at the speed which the MS state legislature and governor moved.
 
barstool sports is like the lowest common denominator of sports entertainment. I'm not sure why I started following them, probably because "sports" was in the name, but I quickly dropped the follow due to rampant misogyny and sexism and lack of valuable content. Never noticed racism but it would fit the overall vibe of white bros making crappy jokes.

well you can notice the racism in the video above (and if you click the Twitter thread there's another video about Kaep). and it's featuring 3 of their biggest personalities. people act like Big Cat and PFT are above it all and don't represent Barstool, but their podcast is successful enough that if they truly believed that they could strike out on their own.

No one said they were. Fox, Disney, and Viacom have a shitload of political leverage. What are they doing with it? Rebranding Splash Mountain.

Corporations would have you believe that they are all chipping in and doing their part to address racism and societal injustice when they actually aren't doing shit because all of their political leverage is being used to push deregulation and lower taxes.

Miami Gardens police officer arrested after video shows him with knee on woman’s neck

The arrest of Safiya Satchell might have gone down as another anonymous case — were it not for the bystander video that showed a Miami Gardens police officer reach into her SUV, drag her out, press his knee on her neck and stun her twice with a Taser.

This video, as have similar clips of police brutality across the country, is jarring and on Thursday spurred state authorities to arrest now-fired Officer Jordy Yanes Martel on charges of battery.

He was also charged with official misconduct for filing two reports containing false details about his interaction outside a strip club with Satchell, 33, on Jan. 14. He had arrested her on charges of battery on a cop and resisting with violence — charges that have since been dismissed.

Martel and another officer, Jaiver Castano, were fired last week, although Miami Gardens police have not said why. The two had been involved in another rough arrest at a RaceTrac gas station. Both officers had less than two years of experience on the force.

Agreed. Much of what conservatives hate about racial issues is how shitty white people respond to racial issues even though those actions are meant to appease all sides. They're going to get pissed off anyway so why not piss them off by doing something real.

Because real changes actually cost something. It doesn't cost anything to fight the culture war. Liberals are only doing this shit by proxy of black people, anyway. Its just an excuse to piss off trump voters and get cheap social credit.
