Investment Thread - For all your money needs

The use of “bullish” is irritating enough but particularly so when it gets outside the realm of stocks. “this new restaurant that just opened makes some good pizza so I’m bullish about it” Well I’m “bearish” on your mashing poser terminology into places it doesn’t belong

v bearish on this post

I work in the equities biz, so I hear it all the time and it never really strikes me as out of place.

HOWEVER, I once had a co-worker tell me he was "All Bulled Up" on something (non-ironically) and for some reason I thought it was funny/stupid.

I have 600.00 petty cash chillin in my etrade account, someone give me a stupid high risk play to make with it

I've got nothing for you. Will post my next crazy (and likely horrible) idea on here, though... Whenever it happens.

BILI earning are reported this week. Could be a nice run up. Not sure I would hold through the release unless you are thinking more long term.

Depends a lot on Trump's twitter activity....

edit: I can't see making any real money off a $600 investment outside of way OTM option play.....

I distinctly remember being at the gym in 2012/2013 and thinking “Man, this Tesla company seems like a good stock to pick up.”

It was in the mid to high 30s then.

I bought some Nikola last week. The upside in the trucking industry seems quite high.

BILI has made some moves this week (+12%). Earnings after the bell...

I need to rubber duck this. Please chime in.

I'm holding 15 shares of TSLA. I'm up X amount. My trade strategy has always been "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered." All 15 of my shares qualify for the split tomorrow, meaning I'll have 75 after it. The fucking thing keeps crushing ATHs.

I see the split going one of two ways: (1) investors take profit faster than new investors can buy up shares, which snowballs into tanking the price post-split; or (2) investors don't take as much profit, and a shitload of new, young money comes into the lower-priced shares which rocket up.

Right now, it feels like a huge risk. I'm sitting on enough house money (all my TSLA shares are house money) to put a healthy down payment on a new Model 3. Should I just fucking do that or should I HODL through the split?

I feel like I was so fucking certain about this two weeks ago, but now that it's here, I'm skurred.

My 2 cents: more people will want in at the lower price point than will cash out.

When will I be able to buy Tesla at the split price? Tomorrow?
