Official Clemson vs. Wake Game Thread - 7:49 on ABC

I heard the 3 early signs of Covid are loss of smell, loss of taste and the inability to blow a whistle against #1 Clemson.

Yep. I'm not usually too critical of the play calling but this game has been chickenshit play calling from the beginning.

The best case scenario for Clawson's decisions so far is being down 37-12. Go for it and we could be looking at 37-28.

It's just basic math. Clemson is really good. Extremely good. So guess what? It may take more than 3 plays to get 10 yards. That doesn't mean you give up and try to get 3. You just use that 4th play and try to get 7 on the board.
 
Morin definitely contributed more than I expected. Shoutout to Creamy believe it was saying to keep an eye on him.
 
"Short" kickoff. Only a yard deep. But high. 15 yard return.
 
I feel like nobody in this thread took Wake and the points.
 
These Clemson backup QBs have some of the wildest names ever.

This, plus the momentum of converting, holding the ball on offense longer, making Clemson actually work instead of using us as a live scrimmage to work on some plays. Dave's conservatism in the first quarter lead to a punt that netted 20 yards which was quickly made up in one play by Clemson, and the missed field goal that would have meant nothing and gave Clemson the ball right where we were anyway. We could have made this game interesting for at least two quarters, maybe even starting the second half with the ball, some momentum, and opportunity to cut the lead to a score.
 
I never really realized it, but our home fans yelling at the refs to call a pass interference or all those holding that were not called...is missing duh with nobody there.

So these shit refs just let it go. Claw should curse them out and get tossed Earl Weaver style.
