2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

The “both sides are bad” argument is so fucking tired. It’s what a 20 year old college student says when they are trying to sound smart. To look at the two sides in this election and try to draw an equivalency is just fucking moronic behavior.
 
Also, no one has ever had to debate someone as erratic as Trump is right now. Biden may know the issues cold but it takes a lot to figure out how to best present them when you have a fucking lunatic as your opponent.

Not to mention having a speech impediment that gets worse with stress and fatigue.
 
Pops - Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Here's what happened today.

1 - The president issued a written statement that he signed for "national character week". In the statement he called on all of us to be more honest, ethical and caring towards our fellow man.


2 - During the course of the day he then:

A - Called Dr. Fauci and other scientists "idiots";

B - Labeled a news network a bunch of "dumb bastards"; and

C - Played down the impacts of Covid-19 while holding yet another potential super spreader event in Arizona.

This all happened a few days after he released an ad that features Dr. Fauci - grossly out of context in a way that caused Fauci to correct the ad publicly.

Trump continues to run Biden's campaign for Biden brilliantly.
 
Trump is a bag of dicks. But if Biden has one slip up, it’ll be played over and over on Fox and give Trump more fodder. Best to take a couple days to make sure that doesn’t happen.
 
Wait till Trump finds out they are cutting mics for parts of the debate, unhinges rant incoming.

As someone who went from a Rush Limbaugh/George W Bush/Drudge Report flaming conservative to a “both sides suck” 3rd party guy for a few years...trust me...there is only ONE side who has zero fucking intellectual honesty and does not give a fuck about anything but remaining in power.

To not be able to see or admit this is to have huge blinders on. I understand the vulnerability of those trying to reconcile their historical support of the GOP with today’s political reality...but trust me...once you see it and once you accept the reality, you’re beholden to no party but the truth. And the truth of the matter is that Joe Biden and the Democratic Party care more about the United States of America than just about any Republican running for office today.

For those who think that Biden doing virtual campaign events and calls until Thursday while prepping for the debate, while Trump is out campaigning, is some kind of advantage for Trump, Dear Leader campaigned in Michigan a couple of days ago and referred to it as Minnesota three times, discussed Rep. Omar as if he was in Minnesota and not Michigan, and actually said "Dammit Minnesota, you better vote for me" - all while speaking in Michigan (the MAGAts all cheered anyway).

Dude. Of course it will be played up on Fox. It will be played up on Fox regardless of if it actually happens. You act like independent voters - if any remain - are lapping up FoxNews 24/7. They aren't.

To be fair I guess you could argue that he knew he was in Michigan but just felt like ranting about Rep. Omar and Minnesota, but it was still an odd and funny look to see him talking about Minnesota so much while in another state.

Thanks NED; appreciate the offer. I am coming from nowhere near a “conservative” view. Nor in need of redemption.
I have no doubt that Joe Biden is a hundred times the “human being” that Dump is who is despicable as they come.
But 47 years in politics and the same old ideas I’ve heard over and over. That’s just not enough for me at this point.
Dems/Pubs. All they care about is their election and their re election. It’s an embarrassment.
Without term limits, true campaign reform; Candidates who actually keep the pledges they make in their campaigns and Politicians that vote their conscience, not their Party affiliation. I simply no longer have faith in the System.
I will stand for/against issues; but Politicians, I got no use for them. I poke fun at those who do but understand these are serious times. My kids hate that I use to care but now I don’t. I had a heart attack last year; should of died. Maybe that’s part of it. I’m now enjoying life more than I ever had. I’ll be damn if I let the hypocrites in Washington get me down.

I don't come here that often anymore, but for someone who says they don't care anymore you sure do a lot of posts that say otherwise.
