As far as Japanese food, we typically just eat the steakhouses like Arigato or Kanpai, because we are trashy. Mizu on Robinhood is also solid but we've only been there a few times.

Best mexican I've had is a food truck on corner of Polo and Cherry. Can't think of name of it but it's EXCELLENT. if we are sitting down for Mexican food then we will go to either Camino Real or Tequila's

Winston pretty clears dominates GSO because we have our own water source. Duh. The pristine and not-polluted-at-all Yadkin River. That being said I do prefer downtown Winston to GSO, and when it comes to comparing cities that's all that really matters in my book.

As to golf I've tried to get into it (played 5 times) during COVID because my father in law is a golf addict, but 18 holes is just too much. I'm over it by about #12. I miss the days of playing a nine hole par 3 and drinking a beer per hole. That's my kind of golf. When we played I was borrowing some unisex (aka womens) clubs from him, and finally after the last round I told him I'd buy my own used set. Two days later he shows up on my front door with a set he bought at the driving range, and now I feel like I have to play with him. I genuinely tried to play two weekends ago but it rained the whole time. I was going to offer to play again this weekend, but it is now suppose to rain again. Its not my fault FIL!

Their sushi is banging - very good for its price point. Better than anything we had in the North Hills area of Raleigh.

it's p good. ran into my childhood best friend from FL there a couple of years ago. turns out his wife was a resident at Wake.

he went to duke and then became a big 9/11 truther and Ron Paul donk and he once showed some truther doc at Duke and Stephen Miller protested it.

Same. Winston downtown seems vastly superior to GSO. Pre-Covid it was just so easy to head downtown for a night and get dinner and brewery/bar hop to your hearts content. Or grab brunch at Krankies the next morning, lounge around Bailey Park, hit up some of the shops at Industry Hill etc.

Haven't really given GSO a chance, but having driven through downtown (well, I assume... Wife worked right off N Elm Street?) after 5pm multiple times I never felt or saw anything close to that energy.

Also nothing in GSO comes close to Mission Pizza.

Fratellis is OK... But definitely not as good italian food as Di'LisiIo or QB.

Get one of the wing dry rubs on the waffle fries. Amazing. We are partial to garlic parm in my household. I’ve only been to the original location but if the Greensboro one is close to the same level the wings are fire.
 
Wasn't Moonz like legit worried that Caturday was gonna come to his house and murder him? I forget board history sometimes.
 
On Sunday after the Biden/Cookout story we got Cookout shakes delivered to us. Technology has its fair share of shortcomings (and outright dangers) but having a frosty Oreo Mint shake delivered to your door while just sitting on the couch is...not one of them.
