Fried turkey is fine. I enjoy the hell of out it, but if it was so great it would be worth the effort other times in the year. Most of the side dishes are just ok. A shit load of effort for meh results.

Thanksgiving is by far the most racist of the major holidays so it has that going for it too.

Thanksgiving food is fine. We cook the traditional shit because that's what people want, because they feel obligated. Wish we could branch out and cook better food, but alas.

Christmas is when we stretch our wings with what we cook. Way better meal.
 
Love Thanksgiving and Christmas but also really enjoy spending time with my immediate family. Big fan of Christmas music as well which is a big factor for me. NYE sucks but I will be celebrating the hell out of this one putting this dumpster fire of a year in the rear view.

Hah yeah those are winners. Carpet is OK in bedrooms, but FFS not in main living areas.

And yeah, man I hate being able to actually talk to my wife/friends while one of us is making dinner. I sure wish there was a wall in the way.

TBH, i hate talking to my friends and family while making dinner. if you want good food, get out of my way
 
Yeah one of the reasons I took on cooking duties in my family is to have a few minutes to myself
