Catching up here.

I think regular yellow mustard is a perfect food. It's excellent as a base for tuna/egg salad, I love it with any sandwich meat, and it's the first step when cooking pork or chicken, before the bbq rub/seasonings.

Turkey is great when it's done well, but most of it isn't cooked correctly and thus becomes trash, but that rule applies to many great foods. You have to spatchcock it so that the dark meat cooks quicker and so you can take the bird out before the white meat is dry as shit. And the two day dry brine is absolutely worth it.

The best part of the turkey are the wings. Same as a chicken. The second best part is the next-day (or late night) sandwich: fresh bread, mayo, cranberry sauce, swiss cheese. Bangin.
 
Of the major holidays, Thanksgiving is the worst. The food is vastly overrated and the only redeeming part is you usually get multiple days off work.

I’m here for this. The food is most certainly overrated. It’s why you don’t eat it 364 days a year. The actual merits of the holiday is 100% dependent on whether or not you enjoy time with your family.

i'd argue if the food sucks that's on your family

you don't have to eat dry turkey and flavorless mashed potatoes

Thanksgiving is the GOAT of holidays. You get to spend time with friends and family and largely it's free of consumerism and greed. Until Christmas promptly fucks it up with black friday.

Christmas is the worst holiday by a mile, a fucking mile.
