The 2020-21 College Football Thread: Alabama Unleashes Bold Familiar Flavor on CFB !!

Hell yeah... bring on the chaos for the committee. Or even better, just bring on an 8 team playoff.

Cincinnati has an open date this week. The two schools are about 2 hours apart. Cincy should play tOSU this week as essentially a BCS berth play-in game.

Purdue cancelled practice on Tuesday due to Covid. Big Ten could bring in Indiana to play Ohio State again. Otherwise if they did not alter their rules, Indiana would play in the championship game as the East Division rep.

This is Michigan's best shot at keeping tOSU out of the B1G championship game.

Cincinnati is 8-0 and has only played two road games this year. Their game at Tulsa this weekend has been cancelled and they will therefore host Tulsa for the AAC CG due to higher rankings by the CFP committee. Tulsa's lone loss was at Oklahoma State, which is better than anyone Cincy has played this year.

Is a unanimous vote among Big 10 ADs needed either to change the rule requiring 6 games or to change the rule prohibiting OOC games? I can't see OSU getting support from every school.

The Big 10 will rework the schedule to get OSU another game this weekend. There is no way that they allow their best team to be left out of the conference championship game and likely the CFP because they couldn't get to 6 games. That's probably the only move the Big 10 will have gotten right all year.

Who the hell knows ? Who knows why they cam up with that rule in the first place. The B1G is just full of dumb.

This is the same conference, I'll remind you, whose commissioner proclaimed that the decision to cancel the season this fall will not be revisited.

I'm pretty sure Cincinnati's open date is because of their own COVID issues, not Tulsa's. If they didn't have those issues, they would be playing at Tulsa this weekend.

Yeah, and they fucked Tulsa out of any chance of hosting the championship game, despite Tulsa being 6-1 and undefeated in the conference despite having played 6 road games, compared to Cincy's 2.
