Official Election Month Thread: COUP falls short, nothing to see here

He's confusing disenfranchisement with the Republican fear that the Democrats are destroying his way of life.

Between this and the attempt to kidnap the Michigan governor, the violent Proud Boys march in DC, and Trumpites like Roger Stone tweeting today that he may primary Rubio in FL in 2022, it's worth pointing out again all the posts over the past few weeks from conservatives telling us that we're overdramatizing Trump and his party's behavior and actions since the election, and this will all just go away once Trump is out of office and he'll fade from sight. It sure looks as if Trumpism is on its last legs. Right.

I remember when David Boies made similar statements following the Supreme Courts decision in the 2000 election. Remember that Junebug? Al Gore and his team really set the precedent here and Trump’s team is just following the play book. The only real question is, are they doing this in good faith?

So we've finally worked our way up (or down) to where the mainstream media is now just an arm of the Communist Party. Also, the claims of the media that Trump is planning a military coup is "errant nonsense" but Trump should declare martial law to "clean up" the election, which amounts to: a military coup. Great logic at work there. I'm beginning to think that Team Trump didn't hire the best (or even second-or-third best) lawyers to represent him in these lawsuits.

This is like John Lewis, all over again.

Alternate facts, alternate media, alternate electors...I'm detecting a pattern here. The self-segregation of Trumpites from reality is something to behold.

This could totally be the plot of a bad movie but here's an idea...

Convince Trump on the eve of the transition that he has been re-elected, but for "security" sake, he has to move out of the White House and do everything from Mar-a-lago.

Let his staff keep having "press conferences".

Let him keep sending his vacuum-tube tweets out to his supporters.

Obviously, none of his supporters would need to fake it that he was not longer president since they believe he "won" the previous election.

And in 4 years, let him "leave" the White House thinking he was president.

Junebug, remember when John Kerry had his advisor/spokesperson go on national tv and...ahh fuck it. None of this is normal and anyone who thinks it is, is part of the problem.

This is actually exactly what Trump’s dad’s staff did to him after he got dementia.
