Yeah, as a general rule, I'd never take a RB or TE in the 1st round. That said, I'm not sure I've ever seen a college TE like Pitts.
the bengals are seriously considering pitts at #5

Yeah, he previously posted this:man i wanted to believe guitardeac but we tried to trade #8 for matt fucking stafford so this is all bullshit
Watson is now available. So by your logic, unless he has vetoed Carolina, he should 100% be coming here, since Tepper is "willing to throw whatever he has to throw at the Texans to make it happen." Since then you've hedged that there's competition from the 49ers, etc. And we've learned that we were in the mix for Stafford. So which is it? You said you had it on good authority that we'd do "whatever it takes." Maybe we'll land him. If so, kudos to all of us! Otherwise, your source is useless and you only mentioned it because name-dropping helps give you a board, and I'm sure real-life, identity.Tepper wants Watson very badly , if he does become available and is willing to throw whatever he has to throw at the Texans to make it happen. He knows to win you have to have a stud/cornerstone at QB. And yes, I have this on extremely good authority. As good as it gets.

Good overview of the problem with taking a TE in the 1st.

Eric Ebron, OJ Howard, Evan Engram, David Njoku, etc.
Based on my casual knowledge of the draft, it seems like the positions that tend to pan out in the 1st round are QB, LT, DT, DE, and CB. The positions you can definitely get midround are TE and OLB.
That’s not the question. The questions are if he’s better than mid-round guys like Kittle, Kelce, and Gronk and if he provides more value than a LT.
