If you were going to say Vegas sucks or is way overrated, I'm there with you. Really, it's because I'm not into gambling, but the people there are just gross.

good point -- all those other places I like to go are dry cities that don't allow single-gender groupings

plus, now I can gamble in and around Chicago pretty easily

(but I'm not into gambling, so that is true)
 
im into vegas for restuarants and shows mostly (paired with getting strong being legal, obvi), with some gambling thrown in but i don't really care about that part as much
 
all the undocumented immigrants passing out flyers for hookers to the MAGA types is just too damn much for me

I get the Vegas hate, I really do.

But I can't think of a better place to go, without my family, after being quarantined at home/work for 18 months.

There is no better place. Vegas has everything I'll need.
 
I think Mako has these takes because he lives in Rube central and if he didn't have this faux sophisticated takes like Pizza, cookout, and vegas sucks he would spiral down into actual Rube.

this is how I feel. also I despise how Vegas is still one of the few places to allow smoking everywhere. like just walking to get to your room you have to go through the casino and get doused in smoke.

my sister moved there last year and seems to like it, but they haven't been to the Strip since moving there (though she's been there a bunch) and they've done a lot of outdoorsy stuff.
 
I want to sit at a slot machine at the golden nugget, smoke a pack of cigs, drink a bunch of bottom shelf booze and just forget the outside world exists.

Hanging out in smoke filled rooms has a certain charm if you only do it once every five years.

I'm with you Brasky. I've only been to Vegas twice and it is nice to feel disgusting for 4 days while blowing money and objectifying all of the whores handing out their sex cards.
 
Speaking of Vegas, Bally’s apparently is going to build a $600MM+ casino/resort boondoggle in Richmond.
