Did you ever go to Ñoños or was that too far north? One of the best.

I brought up Cabana as an alternative to Taco Bell. In no way could it compete with a top notch taco place like El Primo.

If we want to bring San Antonio into the discussion we can talk tacos all day. Taco heaven.

Vera Cruz & Taco Deli in Austin are some of my favorites. White Duck is up there too.

Taco Deli is an absolute must when I go to ATX. Fucking love that place. Vera Cruz is legit legit. Sooooo good.

huh, that place bombed in Asheville, I went once and was mostly v sad that each taco was about 1 or 2 bites max so you really needed like 5+ to make a decent meal of it.. margs also tiny vs price.. everything tasted good but not really worth venturing into prime tourist zone for

they were going through some growing pains though/had just opened up.. the ordering system being so different didn't do em any favors either

I lived above it for awhile. It’s definitely pricey. When we were setting our budget when we moved we included how much we would save by no longer living above it.

man I like White Duck but its not even my favorite taco spot in AVL right now

Taco Temple or Taco Billy both preferred

Taqueria Munoz for "authentic" tacos

I think I'm mainly just salty about WDT moving locations, even if the new one is bigger/better, just miss the vibes from the old spot

These is good places. Also shoutout to the Muñoz truck at Zilicoah. Tacos and Taps just announced they’re closing but I think have a truck at Rabbit Rabbit.

I used to go to the South AVL WDT a lot for lunch pre-pandemic. The original location in the RAD has been tough for new places — Henriettas (though I think that was temporary but the food was great, Broth Lab (RIP, big fan), and now the Bull and Beggar ppl opened a burger spot.

And speaking of tough buildings, never went to Bartaco and heard great things about Futa Buta ramen but they got got right away by the rona. Now there’s a Japanese smokehouse coming which sounds intriguing.

i laughed harder at this

best in dc for my money is taqueria habanero but i like my local, taqueria del barrio

I've never been to habanero since I've got El Sol so close and its so good, but I should check it out sometime. I don't love the other mexican options nearby like El Camino or Republic Cantina. Puerta Verde is good, but not as convenient. This newish spot on U called Taqueria Xochi was awesome the one time I had it, but I need to give it a few more tries before making a final decision.

Super Tacos in Adams Morgan did the trick well enough when I lived in the neighborhood

lol yeah when I say munoz I am talking about the truck at zilicoah 90% of the time.. despite living about half a mile from their building location on patton for the last 6 years

its on our list to try baby bull for sure.. I never liked henriettas (only went once) because the sandwich portions just felt insanely off and way too messy even though the chicken was good.. broth lab was great but man it opened at the same time as like 3 or 4 other ramen spots (including futa buta) and there is only so much asheville can sustain on that front

didn't know about the japanese smokehouse.. that does sound really interesting

Ukiah is the name. A couple of pics of food on Instagram look real good. No menu yet tho. Also I read we’re getting a Hawaiian-inspired Texas BBQ place in the Grove Arcade. So I guess like brisket with pineapple bbq sauce or something?

was AirBNB really subsidizing user experience? that one doesn't seem to track

as ATS has said, the food delivery apps are miserable for everyone

I had like $20 off an Uber Eats order from a targeted promo if I spent $25+, but by the time they add all the fees and whatnot it pretty much washes promo amount, and that's before tip (not just the tip, ya know?)

pretty much done with those too

airbnb seems like a big supply vs demand issue mostly now, especially with most cities cracking down on them (or short tem rentals in general) and making it much harder to have compliant airbnb spaces
