Official 2020-21 NBA Finals - Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Championship!

Either that Athletic article was spot on and Cuban has made an incredibly toxic front office, or its all about Luka and he said make some moves. Or both. But I dont see a complete reset of coach/gm good for Mavs at this point. Seems like a roster reset was a better option

The Mavs definitely need a roster reset. I'm guessing the unofficial Luka tampering has already begun.

Speaking of coaches, how much is the 76ers implosion last night on Doc?

This sort of thing seemingly only happens to Doc

Doc is a good coach, but man his resume since he won that championship is a lot of stuff that is statistically very improbable to happen at all, let alone to the same guy 4 times over...

I mean, look at what Nate McMillan is doing right now. In what universe does firing Rick Carlisle make the Mavs better?

I dont think it does. Im leaning Cuban is the real problem. AKA Dallas sports reality. Owners who get in their own way

with Carlisle saying he's looking forward to next stop in his coaching career , he probably wanted a different job.

In watching the Mavs series, Luka's cockiness was in full display/next level/ not sure I've seen it on a court since Kobe. Can't be that fun to coach. But it also points to maybe Rick doesn't want to work with Bob?

The Luka hasnt gotten out of first round argument is weird to me. He has shined in two playoff series against arguably the one team best constructed to stop him. And not just that but a team who both years people were talking about as one of the top title contenders. He was a few bounces away from beating them this year, and some injuries away from beating them last year. Are we really gonna say Luka doesnt beat the Knicks in a playoff series? Or he doesnt win a series if Mavs are in the East?

A few bounces? The Mavs went up 2-0 and then lost the series 3-1. It was a lot closer on paper this time around than it was in practice.

Anyway, we can't say that Luka beats the Knicks (because he didn't), but we can say that Trae did in his first go. He might get another playoff series win, too, we'll see. I just think if you're going to talk about winning and losing Luka-Trae/Cam trade, this may not be the year to do it. Perhaps that'll change somewhere down the line, but not a great look now is my point.

Hahahahaha

The Clippers >>>> The Knicks.

I can definitely see this. Rick is a great coach. But definitely stubborn. He wants it his way. And he doesnt strike me as a guy who wants a 22 year old yelling at him, not matter how good he is

Sure, but I'm just saying that you're playing hypotheticals and we have actual results. I'm sure Luka will be in Brooklyn in a few years, unfortunately, and we can see how this plays out in real time.

I do genuinely feel bad for Mavs fans. Carlisle coached the hell out of that series and should still have a job right now. Instead, the lunatic fringe appears to have gotten its way.

palma, your troll work is strong here. So what open job is the best fit for Carlisle? I'm thinking Portland. Veteran coach who does more with less talent. Veteran players used to carrying a big load.

Dame publicly calling for Kidd makes me think he wouldn't be happy about a guy like Carlisle

If Portland was held back by bad coaching, especially on the defensive end, Portland count be attractive. BOS/Pellies both look like someplace a coach would want to go. Indy isn't terrible. Who knows which he wants.

FIFY. :)

I mean, not the stupidest move Cuban has made. Hello Raef LaFrentz or let's break up our championship team and use FA to build a contender because everyone likes me and I have great home locker rooms.

Needless to say this made my day. Sorry Tejas.
