Well shit. Woj saying Carlisle out
If he wants it, someone else with an opening will hire him.
Well shit. Woj saying Carlisle out
Speaking of coaches, how much is the 76ers implosion last night on Doc?
If he wants it, someone else with an opening will hire him.
I mean, look at what Nate McMillan is doing right now. In what universe does firing Rick Carlisle make the Mavs better?
The Mavs definitely need a roster reset. I'm guessing the unofficial Luka tampering has already begun.
The Luka hasnt gotten out of first round argument is weird to me. He has shined in two playoff series against arguably the one team best constructed to stop him. And not just that but a team who both years people were talking about as one of the top title contenders. He was a few bounces away from beating them this year, and some injuries away from beating them last year. Are we really gonna say Luka doesnt beat the Knicks in a playoff series? Or he doesnt win a series if Mavs are in the East?
A few bounces? The Mavs went up 2-0 and then lost the series 3-1. It was a lot closer on paper this time around than it was in practice.
Anyway, we can't say that Luka beats the Knicks (because he didn't), but we can say that Trae did in his first go. He might get another playoff series win, too, we'll see. I just think if you're going to talk about winning and losing Luka-Trae/Cam trade, this may not be the year to do it. Perhaps that'll change somewhere down the line, but not a great look now is my point.
with Carlisle saying he's looking forward to next stop in his coaching career , he probably wanted a different job.
In watching the Mavs series, Luka's cockiness was in full display/next level/ not sure I've seen it on a court since Kobe. Can't be that fun to coach. But it also points to maybe Rick doesn't want to work with Bob?
Hahahahaha
The Clippers >>>> The Knicks.
palma, your troll work is strong here. So what open job is the best fit for Carlisle? I'm thinking Portland. Veteran coach who does more with less talent. Veteran players used to carrying a big load.
I can definitely see this. Rick is a very good coach. But definitely stubborn. He wants it his way. And he doesnt strike me as a guy who wants a 22 year old yelling at him, not matter how good he is
